tonight's dinner

Sorry to miss this one, guys, but I just rolled in from being out of town and home stuff (not to mention the rain!) is going to keep me off the streets tonight.

Anybody interested in riding up to the dual sport rally in Tellico Plains in early November?

Rob

Muchas Gracias!

Thanks to everyone that came !

again, Congrats to Marty

in his new addition of the 1150 GS, once in the foster care of another Charleston ADV Member. Wish I had a picture of him, na a video, of him trying to mount that beast. All kidding aside, at a boy, enjoy it.

The crowd was good, the place was great. Cannot wait until school is done, so that I can go on a trip with some of the hoolingans that this dinner brings...

have a no so wet weekend all

Short Legs long bike

I definitely need to learn to deal with the height problem but I got the KLR managed and the gsa will succumb too. (Anybody got a line on a low seat?)

Hey Marty,

Might need a pair of some of those platform riding boots;)

My bro and I had a great time. We should do it again without the rain, maybe on the less ritzy side of the Cooper. I guess we have a month to figure it out. I'll try to post those dinner pics in the near future.

I would definitely suggest us doing something more centrally located, like around the Tanger or in that part of North Charleston. For the island folks, it would be right off of 526, and right off 26 for the rest of us.

35 miles + rain + interstate driving + 250cc bike that weighs about what I do + riding over the bridge = me being a whiney bitch the whole way there

On the plus side though, my first ADV group meet, food, drinks, atmosphere, and the ride home were good though.

I don't know if there's a general Charleston area thread, but someone please point me to it if there is.

This morning, right before 7, a biker ran a red light at the intersection of Fain/Core Road and West Aviation (in front of my office building), and hit a Tacoma in the left turn lane. The biker is dead, and I'm sure there will more news about this as the day goes on.

I rode today, and had to weave right by the body and police to park, so it seems like a reminder to us to take extra precaution out in the dawn/dusk times. Oh, by the way, no he wasn't riding ATGATT, not that I think it would've mattered after seeing the truck.

About that motorcycle wreck I posted yesterday. I was wrong about the biker having run the light, but that was the general consensus from the way things appeared. It wasn't the biker's fault. If you care to read the little article with a picture the Post and Courier put up:

It was an illegal, with no license, no insurance, no nothing.

He'll most likely get off scot-free.
