Although I'm sure it'll be sunny & dry by 7...

70-something year-old father-in-law having
emergency gall bladder surgery at 4. Wife
may not appreciate me knocking 'em back
especially if there are any complications.

Appreciate the offer, Keith, it's a nice gesture.
Look forward to being at the next one.

Jim

Dang Jim- it's been your year in the wringer, hasn't it? Hope everything goes OK.

Not sure I'll make it tonight. I've been trudging around outside in this wet stuff all day and don't relish riding another hour and a half in it tonight.

But you have off the rest of the day to relax and dry out.

Thanks Hugh, That's life with 70-something year-old parents, in-laws and K-9. (15 dog years). You went through it last year.

ADV Dinner-Veterans Day edition

Well boys.... thanx for the Fat Tires! Sorry Jim, Keith bought mine and Rob bought yours.....but yours just sat there....all lonely like....sweat glistening on the label.....begging for attention....did i mention all lonely like!!! I couldn't let a soldier suffer like that!! I had to put it out of its misery.......not a drop was wasted !!!

Rob, on the way home I observed some sort of fidgeting as I covered your six, I thought a squirrel may have found its its way into your jacket.....not to worry, Jim says that I have some sort of Turrets syndrome while I ride, I tend to scream obscenities into my helmet and fling my arms and legs around quite uncontrollably!!

Sorry I missed it

Father-in-law came through OK.

And happy to hear that long, cold one
wasn't left long enough to get too warm.

Boy, BMW has been busy. First the HP2
motor in the 2010 GSs an RTs and now
this!

6 cylinders is 4 or 5 too many for me.
I do my own valve adjustments.

International Motorcycle show

I see that the IMS is in Greenville second weekend of Jan. Is anyone interested in going? I went last year and it was fun but not super big. I'm still thinking of going back.

Marty & All -

I'm thinking of going. Sorry I missed last year, I was flu-bound that week. Hopefully this year will be different!

Rode up on the first day when they opened at 4 PM
and left about 6. The size of the show definitely
reflected the economy. Still, some of the bike
manufacturers (like KTM) had demo rides, so it
might be worth it if you'd like to check out a
particular bike.

Howdy

Road in last night :) . My headlight went out just north of Columbia on I-26. Nothing like using the cars light in front of you going down the interstate with a crescent moon. All fixed up now. Just have to put her back together and hope I don't have any left over pieces. I did catch a ride in the back of a pick up eventually.
