Sorry I didn't make it out either. Got company at the house this week. Hopefully next month will be better.

I'm headed up to N GA mountains on the 16th for family vacation. Twisties here I come! Might have to see if I can find some decent dirt roads to explore, but I'll leave the serious stuff for you KLR riders.

Enjoyed it, folks!

(I'm STILL full from that burger. Thank goodness I skipped lunch yesterday!)

Now, who was it that I was talking with about reloading? Please PM me to discuss it, but bear in mind I'm still learning as well.

Sorry I couldn't make it.

Our meeting ran late and then I got dragged to the Vendue rooftop for a beer. Damn co-workers.

Where is the next meetup? Anyone been to Fuel on Rutledge?

Hey JAFO,

We'll have to go shooting some time. What range do you go to? I have a Springfield Armory XD45

Cheers,

Jason

haven't been to Fuel- I assume you mean Rutledge downtown?

Love downtown- except for parking the cage. Haven't been there on the bike but once. I like the idea of a dinner ride out that way.

Believe we have a candidate already restaurant for next month- which I have forgotten- but I nominate your idea for the next available slot.

I usually go to Trader World's range since it's close, but don't mind checking out others. Been wanting to check out an indoor rifle range for one thing- any ideas? I need to sight-in my deer rifle for this season, soon.

Talking fuel sounds like a great idea...

enjoyed meetn up with everyone. hope to find the time to hit some pavement with the group or pavement-like byway. I am also interested in a wrench day or clinic day of type, I know very little, but would love to pick up some tricks here and there. thanks again, to everyone for a great time....

It is time for a tech day going.
we need to make a list of what every one want to work on and find out who know how to do that kind of work.
maybe we need to move this to the other thread.

Laugh Long Way Down

Hey guys -

Although it's technically not an ADV Dinner, here's something that could be fun. On Thursday, July 31, there's going to be a special theatrical showing of "Long Way Down", Ewan MacGregor & Charley Boorman's ADV trip from Scotland to South Africa. It was originally filmed as a multi-part mini series for television, this is a two-hour "director's cut" for theatrical release. It's showing at 1930 on this one night only. I'm definitely going, only variable on my end is whether the wife and kids want to tag along. Here's a link with more info and advance ticket sales: http://www.fathomevents.com//details.aspx?eventid=725

My idea is this: let's go see this at Azalea Square in Summerville, and then go have some food and drink somewhere in that immediate area afterwards. What say y'all?

Rob

Thumb all set

Just bought tix online (frikkin' Fandango charges a "convenience fee" of an extra buck a ticket - that's bullshit!). Wife and kids are going to come along, they'll follow in the car. That way, if you guys want, we can go out for a beer after the show , and I'll have a ride home on the bike.

I think the Greg's idea of getting together for dinner before the show might be fun . Anybody up for that? How about suggestions for food in the area?

See you there!

Rob
