R100RS 1979 Fully rebuilt Engine 985cc (1^st oversize)
Overhauled 40mm Bings incl new butterflies
Completely Rebuilt Gearbox
HPN 1st gear (5% Lower)
HPN 5th gear (5% Taller)
New 32:10 Final Drive 5% Taller than Stock (Swiss R80ST)
New Brakes 310mm floating disc & 4 Piston (K1100) Brembo
New Forks re hardchromed with Gold Valves
New Front Fork Brace
New Ohlins Rear Shock
New Full Foran Stainless Exhaust
Large Chrome headlight - R1150
Went with twin throttle cables rather tan the splitter

Jumpin' Gee Hose-a-fat, Stankmoto! Whatcha go through a time warp and buy that thing brand new of the dealer floor!? Man, that looks good.

After 22 years and 32K easy miles I'd say the bike's long overdue for some off road adventuring.
Rear tire size question: Presently mounted is a 130/80-18. The PO threw a new 120/90-18 in with the sale. Which size should I run with the stock rim?

I think stock is 120/90S-18.

I'm getting a very cheap single seat - possibly off an old copper RT bike gonna see if it fits. other wise its Siebenrock again. Thanks for your help but its not over yet I have a few supplementary questions for later.

I still haven't fired it up yet.

I'll have to have a good look at your bike next time I pass through Sydney... (possibly next decade) perhaps Karuah?

Hmmm ...yes the filler rack arrived.

Still waiting to pick up the single seat. The middle tab fits neatly into the seat lock. But the two either side of the the lock tongue dont seem to go anywhere?

All seems a bit curious ...perhaps I best wait for the seat to arrive.

Did I get the right rack?


Just changed all the oils - the previous owner had a strong arm and the threads are just holding in there - I can see helicoils in my future

Any help or suggestions appreciated.

Yes Davo, thats the correct one.

You need some right angle brackets that bolt onto the forward blinker mounts.(for the standard GS without rear rack)

I will take some pics of mine for you tomorrow.

You will also have to see how it bolts up to the underside of the seat.

FYI I got the chicken off the original owner of the bike true. She hasn't layed an egg in anger for years.

Changed the plugs today ...ffs the previous owner was ham fisted
I had to use so much leverage to get the plugs out - I got that tight loose tight loose undo

Looks like I'll be needing to helicoil - Ive heard that there are better things than helicoils these days?

On the positive side all the oils seemed clear and good.

Can anyone tell me if it'll work? Does mud and crap clogging it up become an issue?

As you can see it's pretty tight with Metz Enduros.

only if its sticky mud. Otherwise it should fling.
