Hi there! I already had the luck to meet in person the canadian advrider Ryan Budney, who stayed at my place for a couple of days. If you pass on Radauti, Bucovina, NE of RO, give a call 0040720306464.

Tell us the area you're going to visit because the tips are different :)
What you mean about beds and accom.? You mean prices?

No, he means what is the word 'Pensione' in english (well sort of the other way round)

The only don't I have is don't ride the bike to bucharest.

assume petty theft is rife so don't leave your stuff unlocked vunerable.

don't change money on the street with men in black hats with moustaches (I kid you not).

If you got an approximate itinerary I guess we can help with what to see/where to go and stuff like that. Or even ride along (assuming you'd be riding ), show you around, etc.

What else to watch out for... traffic, at times. It's not as much that the drivers aren't bike-friendly, they're not that bike-aware.

Hello from Cluj-Napoca!

I'll reiterate what the other guys said - I(we)'d be glad to help if anyone wants to come around these parts.

Especially since next month there'll be a lot of motorcycle goodness around here - http://www.centraleuroperally.com/2008/CER/presentation/us/r3_5-le-parcours.html .

Help or info wanted

Hello Romanian ADV riders,
I would like to send you this message. We are a Belgian organisation ( 2 friends ) who organise enduro trips in Europe. France ,Spain and Italy.Since the beginning of this year also Slovenia. We have 5 groups this year for Slovenia. Last year mai 2007 we had a trip in Romania with a college Belgian guide, OK but the organisation was poor. We were in the region of Predael and Sinaia and loved every km of it. We would like to come 2 or 3 times next year with a group and would like to have a sort of local backup. I mean someone who speaks some english and romanian in case of emergency, problems or what so ever. We are also looking for a safe accomodation where the Belgian transportcompany can leave our bikes and luggage safe and secured. Can someone help us out in this ? We are willing to pay for all expenses. Transport is then no problem and we would like to go again to the same region and fly with our customers on Bucharest. Waiting on your reply,

Hello,
My name is Alex Atanasiu.
I am a College student at Brasov university, specialised on Tourism, Commerce and Services. My english is ok and I have experience with organising tours. I have a lot of free time and experience in riding enduro and enduro-touring bikes, so I can help you.
Maybe we can cooperate in the future
regards, Alex

Hello Romania!

I've been riding in your beautiful country several times and I just wanted to say it's my favorite country in Europe! I love the north of your country and Cluj as a city.
