Navarre Show Next Thursday - FREE

Thanks to good friends (especially FBM's wife Joan) my band will be playing the Thursday in the Park gig at Navarre next Thursday August 11th from 6-8.

It's free and the last gig I have on the books before heading back into the studio.

Come on out you FF's and have some fun!

Rick

I think I must've watched FBM's high speed get-off about 10 times, that was a good one.

I REALLY LIKE the 2-day idea for the TT, and if there's room I'll bring my motorhome, AKA "the tenement on wheels". I'm willing to help too. I have a 20 gal fuel tank on wheels and 3 of the 5gal fuel jugs. I can help cook and bring a big grill for Saturday night.

Sounds like a good safe, cool, plan. I'm up for a ride but it would need to be an early one in the morning before it gets too ridiculously hot.

I agree.
Maybe Vic should start it when he's ready since he fathered the ever popular Turkey Trot.

That way,, editing by him as this event progresses will be on the first message of the TT II thread.

Does anybody want to run the trot again or should we opt for smaller less obtrusive rides.... I still cant believe we put 40 riders out on the range and had 0 incidents...

The date is all important... Not opening day of gun season thats for sure.... when ever that is...

All thoughts would be appreciated... we still have pleanty of time
I believe this is where it all started a few pages back, so I nominate Vic to start the official '11 TT thread. When he deems it appropriate.

I am wanting to pick up a d/s this summer/fall to run with you guys on the range this year. Saw that awesome WR450 a few weeks back, made me really want. The poor SMC is getting tired and needs rebuild or replacement soon.

ya know, I never thought i'd be the one saying this - but I work all day long in this heat and man, on the weekends the last thing I wanna do is spend more time in it - my riding is pretty much just to and from work til it starts chilling out a bit. more time to plan our fall riding schedule, train for the races (enduro season starts back up in september - first one is mississippi and hopefully one of the nicer ones, so you guys that are curious oughta come check out laurel,ms), and wrench on bikes. in the ac'd garage.

theres also a harescramble in birmingham sept 4th if yer feelin spunky..

I'm IN for an early ride if it panhandles out.

Newdaze, It looks like myself AJ and a Newbie (to the area not dirtbikes) are going to be leaving P'Cola at 8am and heading to Blackwater. We plan to leave from the Hutton Unit and ride until it gets too hot to be fun. All riders welcome.

Holy banana spiders

Went to mossy this morning with my wife and father in law. I am new to the woods here in Florida. I musta run through about 12 huge banana spider webs today. So many that I decided to go back to the truck and leave, lol. I am not scared of spiders but good lord they were everywhere. One worked it's way into my helmet before I could get it off. One on my back...leg...chest....etc. I am still picking web off of myself. So is it just the season? Will these things eventually go away? I was out there a couple of weekends ago and didn't come across any. Which is why it is so odd to me to find so many this time. Maybe last time I was out, someone had already been there to knock them down...lol.

Boy is it hot out or what?
Going out to whiting in the morning to possibly meet Fitz Miller and claim a section of trail up there to start grooming. Gonna need lotsa water!

Later,
Corey
