Phil, I'm on my 4th BMW and have generally gotten good service from them. They're not cheap to repair, but in my (admittedly limited) experience, they don't break much.

Post up some pics if you get it.

I have a 2000bmw gs with 60 k miles i beet the crap out of it just the bike is super easy to work on . parts are not that expensive . if you can do any maint on a ktm or modern japenese mxer . then u could probably overhaul a gs . the bikes are durable and last forever .

Yea this is a 2002 with 70,000 miles, so I am worried about what is about to go wrong. Caught some reports on people having transmission go out around 60-80 th miles, and costing 2000.00 bucks to get new ones.
Guy is asking 4500.00, so what would you say its worth with high milage? Thanks for info

Wow you guys are going to end up costing me more money for a beast. Finished 6-1000 milagram doeses of steroids on Tuesday and wow I have gotten some stuff done around the house. I feel like I could run a marathon or build an addition on to the house. Anyway hopefully I will see some improvement and be riding again soon. Funny the only thing that has gotten me down is not being able to ride the katoom. I have been racking up the miles on the ct70 tho.

I have a new, never-mounted Kenda K771 Millville Youth tire in 90/100-16 that's free to a good home. This would work on any of the kids MX bikes that have a 16" rear rim.

PM me if you're interested and we can make delivery arrangements--I'm in Milton.
