Yea that would be perfect if it worked like that... my in-laws read and believe in the book "Die Broke". Problem is they are about 8 years beyond their expected demise.

My son goes back over after the first of the year. I'm not happy about it, but I could not be a more proud father.

If you're coming through Evergreen around noon, I'll buy you lunch.....

Thanks for the offer. We hope to be north of there by lunch. Isnt the Wagon Wheel (for breakfast) just past Brewton on 41?

Everyone ride safe out there!

BZ, AST, and all who have sons and daughters in the military. God bless you, I worry about my son and Im riding with him!
Cant imagine what it is like...

Frank - It's funny, in an intersting sort of way, the way that all pans out. I handed my Son his Associates Degree that was mailed to me a few months ago last nite. He's been banging on that Bachelors for a year or two since UWF... I have to buy plane tickets for his graduation Dec. 17 over in Sac State. A "professional student" he is, doncha know!

LOL!

He threatens Doctorate and after graduate studies, but does long to come back the SE area.

Whatever, I am glad they (all of 'em) are grown and independant and well behaved. His mother must of had most of that to do with her!

My 8 year stint didn't involve "the box" -- and well - my hat is off to all the military men and women that I work with every day. All I wanted to do was make E6 in the second half before the 10 year mark surfaced itself.

Kinda like doing a wheelie on a KLR....

No rain, so it will be a dust bowl out there.

Lots of other heading that way this weekend. Rick is going up solo, Steve App and a bunch of Pcola nonADVers are going to race in vintage classes... Madhouse and his group are going, AST will be there etc....

Mossy is the best place for Dawg practice. MItrnsplt - dont know what gearing you are running but you may want to drop down to a 14 front if you are running a 15.

You guys have fun this weekend. We will be in tough by iphone...
Vic, I'm actually running a 14/50 set-up right now, which is perfect for me in the singletrack, I can just chug along in first gear the whole way without stalling!!!

Your tax dollars at rest.

How much one day off costs taxpayers you may ask?
If we simply multiply the number of federal employees by eight hours of work, the holiday costs the government more than 20 million hours of work. If we assume a 50-week work year, that amounts to 80,579 person years. In other words, if federal workers worked on Columbus Day we could reduce the workforce by 80,579 workers and get the same output. At the estimated average pay that would save taxpayers $5.4 billion per year. That’s what this one little holiday is costing America.

Happy Columbus Day.
Before we start throwing haste out there....YES....there are a lot of government employees that do take advantage of this day that sit behind a desk and don't put themselves in harm's way....but for those of us that have been there and in the shit (however it was and whatever branch of the military you are) and that are back on solid ground and not in harm's way.....YES, we are going to enjoy this day off. Thank You!

And yes, please keep a watchful eye on our people out in the sandbox, however you can, just that little bit matters!!!!
