You and Riggy would make a great team, he is about 105lbs and you are... well... over that.

Sallad, you would have the advantage at Mossy in the Husky. That deep sand today is a power sapper and even big Toom has trouble... great ride for your so short a time on a new scoot.

Reb Red and OC and AJ... chime in here guys... hope all is well.

And then there is FBM. He shall return.... and with a vengence....

Party time folks, yall be safe out there...
Rebel Red had us worried for a few days but is doing fine now. We are gearing up for the Holidays and hope you and all your families have a Happy Thanksgiving!

To get to the air filter on your Beemer, there's a bolt on the back side of the left cylinder that needs to be loosened..

I still want to go for beasty ride Friday...

AST thanks for in info on pulling the bolt on the beemer....
Does the change in Avitar mean you no longer have your beemer?

In fact it does, wise one. The Beemer is now living w/ another inmate in Oklahoma.

My 'stable' now includes a '71 Honda CL450 (winter project bike) and an '05 Wee Strom (one owner, 17K miles). Picked the 'Strom up in Auburn over the weekend.

After a year w/ the ST1100 and R1150GS, I came back to the idea of 'less is more' for my riding needs. Both the ST and the GS were great bikes, but not as well suited for my current riding needs. I do maybe two semi long trips per year and the rest of the time I"m just knocking around the local area. The DL650 will do fine for those trips. I'd never have sold the Transalp if it had had another 25 hp. In may ways, I see the 'Strom 650 as an updated, more powerfuld Transalp..........

It's blue, like Rick's, only I'm not as fast or as cool as Rick.

Maybe when I grow up.

Ha ha, I'm not fast just conservative, The cool part maybe...lol!

Glad your deal worked out. I knew I have another busy week and would have been hard pressed to find enough time to head to Brewton.

Taking visiting family sailing this week,

Hey buddy. Had a deal fall together Thursday night. Got my CL450 delivered and loaded the GS on the same trailer and sent it to Oklahoma. Got an '05 Wee yesterday. Can't wait to sneak away from the office and ride!!!

Have fun on the water. I'll catch up w/ you guys soon.

And btw, I've found what I think is a pretty good motorcycle delivery service if anyone's interested. Good to deal w/ and reasonable prices (IMHO).

Frank, Frank, Frank,,,,,trading a GS for a Wee Strom has got to be a sin or crime of some sort.

At a bare minimum, you should be congratulated.

I'm not ashamed to admit that somebody (he just posted) has a Yellow Wee I sort of covet. I own BMW's too.

Thanks, I think....

I guess I"m just sort of a lightweight, V-twin kinda guy.

79 xr185

OK. I'm closing in on having most of the parts I need.

If any of you hooligans happen to see a nice 79 XR185 or 80 XR200 with a nice tank could you take it, please? Only one bolt holds it on - 8mm, so it should go quickly. Plug the gas line, don't want to get gas in your windowless van.

Also, It would be nice if any of you good folks knew of someplace I could take the frame and swing arm to be media blasted. The Soda Blaster is not quite enough for some of the rust and grime on that stuff.

I'm using electrolysis for de-rusting the smaller parts and that's seems to work real well, but takes about 2 days for complete removal. Who's in a hurry?

Painted one of the side covers last night, it looks ok. The really bad side cover that had to be pieced back together is still giving me a hard time. But it will lose in the end.

We all have you figured out by now, you have that Buzztail, Apperson, "I gotta try something else" affliction. Not sure there is a cure but poverty slows it down some...

Well, at least we have a diagnosis. PrettyWife is being unusually tolerant of my moto swapping as of late and as long as I"m not spending from the food/household budget, I think I can avoid the poverty issue for a little longer.
