Agreed! Single track like that keeps your attention.

The riding we do at fastburns is much easier - but - it can get fast which means mistakes are more costly...

My HUGE fear is meeting Bubba haulin ass in his jackedup monster truck
Next is the recently fallen log (Inept style) just after the apex of a bermed turn...ya know when you are railing and committed

On to happier thoughts....

Karick Lake Sunday Ride

Thanks to everyone for letting Wayne and I ride with you guys - we had a blast!
Even though I was pulling up the rear most of the time, I had no problem with that. I don't think you had wait on me much, if at all. And thank you Vic for the nice comments. It's true that was only the second time I have been one a dirt bike in a long time. I felt I did OK. I didn't want to push it since I'm still still weak and not 100%. But everyone made us feel welcomed, all are good riders, and everyone had fun - which is what it's all about anyway - right?
I hope to be invited to other rides with you guys in the future because you make it fun and not a competition.

If I can get off work at a decent hour I'm gonna try and post my "shower" from rotorhead tonight......you can hear reidinitaly heehawing behind meit's pretty cool. I'm disappointed in most of the video.....one of those branches to the helmet readjusted my cam and I didn't know

I really don't like a lot of the video I took either. The rear axle shots aren't too bad, but the headlight mount has waaaaay too much vibration... Should have an edited video up by the weekend....

I do have multiple shower scenes as well, to bad there's only man-boobs in 'em...

Question New to Pensacola.

Hello everyone I am new to Pensacola area and looking for a place local to take my two sons out on their first bikes. I have read about 55 pages of this thread but wanted to see if there was something closer by not the blackwater or eglin type.

What I am looking for is a dirt road or small field. They have zero hours and i need to teach them the shifting brakes etc. The flatter and low grass the better.

Thanks for any help and hope to ride with you guys soon one day.

A very good place to go is up in Brewton, AL. It's a bit of a drive and they do charge a fee (an annual family pass is available), but they do have a very nice little area for little ones to learn how to ride. Plus they have small moto track as well as 5-6 miles of some fun single track for when you want to head out there on your own or if the wife is watching the kiddos. Here's their website, Kenny is a really nice guy and will give you any info you may need.

There's also Mossy Head, very techical trails but there is a huge clay pit with wide open spaces that you could also use. It's off exit 70 on I-10... PM me if you want to check it out...

Good luck and welcome to the area!

Welcome to the group.

You might also try this group who are working on a OHV park north of Whiting Field. They may know some other areas around Pcola you could teach your kids.

Good luck on finding something local...
