It doesn't tickle. It's more like a burn with an ice pick. When it sets you on fire, that's when it's in the right spot.

Hey Pensacola-area guys... I need some advice/help.

There's an amazingly clean, amazingly reasonably-priced 2008 WR250R for sale in Pensacola, but I'm in St. Petersburg!

I have the cash, but I hate buying a bike sight unseen, and it's about a 7-hour plus drive each way.

So:

A. Would anyone please consider meeting with the seller to objectively check out the bike for me?
B. Assuming everything's legit and works out, would someone be willing to meet the seller, load up the bike, and store it for me until I'm able to drive up there with my trailer?

It might be a few weeks or more before I can get up there, since I just bought a house and I'm going to be busier than a one-legged man at an ass-kicking contest.

I would gladly pay for any expenses incurred. At the risk of one of you bastards buying the bike out from under me, it's listed on the Pensacola Craigslist. I talked to the seller, and he seems OK, but he's selling it for his buddy who lives in Vegas (!) and the bank has the title. Iffy...

Any advice or help would be repaid in gratitude, platitudes, and beer!

Thanks,

Streak

Be careful out there folks.

"SANTA ROSA COUNTY
Lieutenants Doug Berryman and Mark Hollinhead, along with Officers David Jernigan and Joe Murphy, responded to a hunting accident in the Blackwater State Forest. Once on scene, officers learned a hunter had been shot in the back from a bow and arrow and was air-lifted to Baptist Hospital in Pensacola. Additionally, the subject who shot the victim fled the scene and failed to render aid. The officers’ investigation revealed that while the victim was preparing to climb a tree, he was shot in the back with an arrow. A friend of the victim came to his aid and transported him out of the woods to the Munson Fire Department. Officers found evidence at the scene that led them to a suspect in Milton. Officers interviewed the suspect and were able to obtain a confession from him stating that he had shot at what he thought was a deer. The suspect admitted hearing a person scream for help but said he fled the scene because he was scared. Charges are pending."

I have been hearing that some are beginning to think it was an angry hunter that someone else was intruding on "their" hunting spot and fired at him out of anger.

Just watch out with hunters out there. I know plenty of them and know plenty that would never do such a thing...but there is no way of knowing what the state of mind people will be in when a "dirtbiker" comes intruding through their hunting area. This just caught my attention after that story MadMax posted about the guy at autozone.

Be safe.

More hunter stories...

I dont think a motorcycle runing through the woods can be mistaken for a deer... therefore an arrow or gun shot hitting you or your bike would be IMHO "attemped murder" and I would press charges to the max...

I would hope a reasonable human (even an irate hunter) would not want to "murder" someone.... lets hope....

It is hunting time and I usually back off during the season and let em have it for the few weeks they can hunt. I go street riding instead....

Concurr.. We do get a break between 25 Nov - 15 Dec. Then hunting resumes through the new year. So lets use it wisely.

well we go a good dump of rain last night.

If we get any more I might try and ride dirt somewhere...

We sure could have used this for the Trot...
