Thank you for that, Vic.

I rode up to AST's (was a true pleasure to meet) compound this afternoon. We talked for a good while and had some laughs. Then I brought his pristine 98 DR650 south. It's now resting in my garage. Runs great, looks like it might be a couple of years old. I'm itching to ride.

I can't wait to ride BW with it. I'm not very familiar with BW at all, so if anyone is heading there (and doesn't mind company), give me a shout. I'm not certain where riding is allowed.

Really looking forward to the 20th!

Vic: The DR650 would be ok for the route you've chosen? I think you already said so, but I'm kinda thick.

It was great meeting you, Robin. I hope you enjoy the DR as much as I did.

I'm already looking for a replacement....

Ride safe.

I think I'd hit it especially if tater tots are involved

I think I am out for this one. You guys have fun and take pics. I remember last year when a very well preportioned 20 year old female rode in on the back of a bike waring nothing but a very small thong! Worth the trip right there.

Vic, you took pix of old farts eating but not of the thong

I might be in with the old TT500...any fuel stops after, say, 70 miles?

We can work that in, thinking about riding from Hutton and lunch at Uncle Bobs in Holt.

Does anybody in the local area have a current gen (2008? or newer) KLR650 that can give me a review/opinion?
