We are back to the KTM being a dirt bike and not a street bike. Yea the seat is just one of those areas where you would be better off with a street bike. Several folks make replacement seats but I have no experience with any.
I'm like WoodsRider ... I truck bike as far as I can on slab, and then I STAND a lot.

Caution... most soft seats are taller than stock and I already cant swing my leg over the KTM. Here lately Ive gone to mounting and dismounting with kickstand down and using peg to give me leg clearance.

Looking forward to riding with you again.

I don't stand a lot when I ride or you could say I sit more than most on my dirt rides. I replaced the stock seat on my Husaberg (which is basically a KTM 300) with one I ordered through R & R Racing on 9-mile road.

The factory seat was pathetic--both thin and soft which meant I could have just taken it off and sat on the frame, or maybe just duct-taped a towel or sponge on it--it would have been just as effective . The replacement seat was about the same thickness as the stocker, but firmer foam--there was an even firmer option for those whose gross tonnage requires the maximum in support. So far I am happy with the replacement--I think it was $60 or so...

Don't forget Seat Concepts... I have one on my XRR and it's better than the Corbin on my DRZ.

I ordered mine from this place... 5% discount for ADVrider inmates and free shipping.

I am thinking of camping at Open Pond this weekend and exploring around there some more.

Those who joined us on the Spring Fling Ride know there is a LOT more out there to explore and its farther north so sand is less and less of a problem.

I will let you know as the week progresses.
