I was thinking of a KLR friendly ride, meet at Hutton 0800, but I'm open to suggestions.

KLR pace ride at hutton sounds good. That way if my roommate will have some motivation for getting his KLR running. Rebuilt Carb and new ignition coil and she still wont start.

0800, Hutton Unit works for me but like Barney, I am open to suggestions. I might have to stop for gas if running with the KLRs, my little Honda can only go 150 miles on a tank .

69 degrees Sunday morning...I might have to wear a jacket. Been a long time since that happened.

Interested in a pace similar to the ride we were on last time ?
Lemme know, and Sunday would probably be better for me.
If you are cruisin for a reeeeeaaaaallllly fast burn, (sounds like it) anyone pondering something more like quick step ADV ride might be better for me to practice speeding up.
Kip,
If you wanna meetup at the bridge/Brox at 8-ish on Sunday, we can ride as much/as little as you want. You can ride your own speed/comfort level, and I will ride mine. If we get separated on the trails, we will just wait at the intersections to regroup.

Might head back down to the "ATV trail" or just hang in the vicinity of the "snake trail" section, which is good practice for the type of riding we mostly do around here... and I like the idea of having someone along that can set bones and plug punctured body parts...

I've never ridden Blackwater, but I might come down Sunday morning w/ my DR and my brother in law on his XRL. Neither of us is hot stuff off road, so an exploration speed trip sounds like fun. We'll trailer the bikes down. Is there plenty of parking space at the trailhead or should we offload somewhere in Milton and ride over?

Sunday

Plenty of parking at the Hutton Unit and at Broxson landing.

See post #2 for directions and a description of the rides we take...sounds like Sunday is going to be an ADV ride.

Broxson does require an Eglin permit Hutton does not...both require your bike to be tagged/street legal.

Rain

Of course if this front moves slowly, like the last hourly forecast predicts, I will be wimping out on a Sunday ride. Have to wait and see at this point.
