Rode Hard Labor Creek with the enduro krewe today, it's definitely a great place for you fastburn types. A lil more open than I prefer, more like a harescramble track, but definitely still a dirtbike trail as opposed to 4x4 dirt roads. Met Dexter - part owner and operator, 72 year old fella on a 300XCW.
This is the main shack where he'll make ya sign the waiver an take yer dineros. Some of yall may recognize these fellers

Full amenities available, including a bike wash station!

Sorry Vic, can't make Karick tomorrow. I think I got this ball rolling and feel bad about bailing. Will see you next time.

And as you can see below czonian is Jon from the Hutton ride. Wayne hasn't posted up yet.

I don't always ride street bikes, but when I do I prefer VStroms

RE: 690's--they are all badass, but you know you are going to want to get it off the road--and PapaWheelie will back this up-- the 690 Enduro will do fine to commute--he rode/rides his to the trails many times.

The Duke is practically in a class by itself and fine for commuting or hooliganism --it is only other bike I have considered buying lately... Since you still have the 530, get the Duke and let me have a little saddle time!!
All is well job has been keeping really busy..I've been lurking on here, you know me I dont have much to say most of the time!

The duke is at the top of the list for sure as well as two others the nc700 and Cb500x. Bike will mainly be commuting from C-view to Eglin and the occasional beast rides.

Hoping to hit the dirt in the coming weeks!

I just got home from a morning at Blackwater. Vic led us BW noobs on a 3.5 hour, 50 mile loop of fun and adventure.

Only a few falls, no real damage done and everybody left w/ a smile.

Great meeting some of the guys this morning. Look forward to learning the area a little better.

........and my 20 year old DR350 did just fine, thank you very much.

Anybody know where I can buy some talent?

I need one of those too!! And some synthetic blinker fluid.

Fortunately, I've already installed the high performance muffler bearing.

Of course on the DR, it really doesn't matter since it's the be all end all dualsport motorcycle.

I would love a dr350. Unfortunately I can never find one. It might be the perfect dual sport for me. I love the DR650, but it can be heavy at times

I hear ya'. I've had a DR650 (R_bin has it now) and it is a great bike. I just wanted something a little lighter for the trails. I don't have the skills or the strength for a 650 in the tight stuff.

And you are right, clean DR350's are hard to come by. It's far from perfect, but at my advanced age and modest talent level, it works just fine.....

I'm thinking the same thing. Probably a Clarke tank and once I save a little more, the pumper kit from Keintech.

I'll probably dig into mine over the winter and make some small tweaks.

Intro Ride

Had a great ride today with AST - NakerBeachRider - Flirtin with Disaster.

Welcome to North East Blackwater. We just touched the surface.
Vid in the soup now an will post ASAP. A few shots of each of you and some water crossings. No face plants and only one quick shot of NBRs mud-camo helmet.

We also rode with Barney Papa and Jay for a while and they split and later we ran up on yet more renegade rage riders...AND lots of TRUCKS.

First real day of fall weather and it was perfect.

Hope all had fun.

It'll never be an RFS bike but I figure I'll DS the shit out of it once my schedule frees up some. I want more snap than it has I know, so it may get a 441, and headwork before it's said and done
