Thankful and Blessed

Happy Thanksgiving to all you ADV'rs out there! I'm grateful for many things today including: family (Dad's back home from the hospital), friends (including you folks out there reading this) and the new reborn passion for the sport I grew up doing. If it were not for this web site I would more than likely have given up on this hobby and not known that you guys and gals were out there still enjoying it at B.W., Eglin and all those other areas out there yet to be explored!

I've never pointed this out on the forum, but yer "NW Florida" thread was posted up 3/11/08 at 5:50 AM (WTF were you doin up at that insane hour?), which means yer thread predates the PAR thread by a little over 12 hours. In fact you must've been the one to inspire XT Thumper, because he posted a reply and an hour later started the PAR thread. And that, mah fren, is how history is made.

It's been a great ride, and I'm very blessed/happy/fortunate to have gotten in on it. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you hooligans, and as Tiny Tim said: God bless us, every one.

Now let's eat

Adventure suggestions

Anyone want to help me find somewhere cool to ride this weekend??? Alone or willing to join a group, any help would be appreciated. Anywhere within 3 or so hours from Navarre will be awesome. Let me know...

Planning on an Eglin Super SlowBurn tmw, and riding south to the Holley powerlines/substation, and maybe out to Escribano Point. Avoiding the hunters, touristy pace, just enjoying the trails, fresh air and sunshine. Not a whole lotta adrenaline going on here. If this sounds like a good time, and ya have an EG permit, gimme a shout via PM. Standard disclaimer: if yer on a big Beastie Bike with Tourances and have seldom/never been offroad, this ain't yer ride. There's a whole lotta sand, and some of it's deep, and I ain't lyin either.

Naturally the above applies to all you other FFs as well

This should be in your 3hr range. Plus its private property, meaning no angry hunters to worry about. Cuz hunting season is in full swing starting today...
