Had a great time today with Orange Garrett and another fella (forgot name) at Hard Labor Creek. Anyhow, we had a blast on some great trails with good people and nobody got hurt. Rode over 20miles of HS type trails and still probably only seen half the place. Will definitely go back again soon. Good times.

Good times yesterday with MadMax & DevilManCalling. Also hooked up with other folks and rode some with them. Of course, Dexter (HLC owner) can't stay off his reklused 300 xcw. He showed us some trails we wouldn't have found on our own and even rode some of the Ball & Chain trails that will be used for the HS coming up in Feb. of '14 (6th I think??) Then the Paparazzi showed up with some really Hi-Tech video equipment and wanted to film MM & DMC railing some berms on one of the MX tracks, you know, where the bike is basically @ 83 degree lean angle, handlebar 8" off ground, front tire diggin in, rear tire searching for traction-throwing 30' roosters and speed so fast, the video needs to be slowed down to 600 frames per second just to see the details! Well, the boys didn't disappoint. In fact, the camera crews even filmed them catching monster air on some table tops and step up jumps. Oh yeah, you're probably wondering why I, me, OG is not mentioned in all this cool shit going on? They said their insurance does NOT cover senior citizens. WTF! Why does this shit always happen to ME! They did admit that they liked my performance in the Chip n Dales video. AHHH, EGO repair at last...
Rotorhead and some more FF's are riding HLC today. You boys keep an eye out for the paparazzi and have fun. Stay off the outer loop and 10 mile trail. Lot's of water, everything else is good to go, just couple of puddles here and there, not much dust.

That's a rather handsome motorcycle.

VICO1,

Is it brand new, it sure looks like it.

Tell me about the wind screen (brand, where did you get it, cost, etc)...I am looking for something to put on my DRZ400 and it looks like it might fit real good.

Thanks

Terrible, but it was still fun to be out in the woods with my old gun.

Vic, a suggestion you'll one day thank me for come tire time is to mount a set of Kenda 270's and make sure to get the 3.25 size up front.

Do you have a permit to hunt those, I mean it's not orange

The seat looks comefee. You already have a bike with a windshield, but with the death wings still hugging the ground it works, and it matches the other Jap bike.

Q & a

No not new. 2009 with 3280 miles.

No clue on with windshield except it took me less than 5 minutes to mount it!
I love it.

Need tires badly so thanks for the tip.
Awesome pic looking down the barrel Tony.

WE are having carb issues at the moment. It was good for lowering price so now I hope I and fix it...

Took it out today for 40 mile journey. Its about what I expected/hoped for.

Any hints on carb isse. Mid range stutter and searching when cruising. Just not running clean. Could be simple lack of use and old gas/semi-clogged jets etc. Hell dirty air filter for all I know...

I'd take the carb off and soak it in solvent. Probably gummy in there Vic.

They are infamously lean out of the box. Search on the thumpers thread. Lot if good jetting info to get around the midrange surge.
