A tiny, small percentage of those assholes have ever had the balls to hunt creatures who hunt and shoot back. I pretty much regard hunters in this light: fuck 'em.

The ones we saw Sat. were DOG hunting. They were all standing around their trucks (in the road) waiting for dogs to run one by The hunters I work with spend ALL year watching, stalking, scouting, prepping, etc. They say DOG hunters have no talent, hence the crutch(dogs)

I'll be there. My practice schedule at HLC will be 11 and 25 January if anyone wants to go/meet up.

May also do the Tallassee, AL but it's a bit further.

on that note, it is illegal to shoot off the roads. supposed to be 50' off roads. If you really wanted to start a shitstorm tell em that when they tell you that you can't ride there

Hangover Ride ???

As I have mentioned before; The old Team Mossy Head guys have a New Years tradition of riding on New Years Day. We use to call it the Hangover Harescrambles. Since Mossy Head is no longer available several of them have mention restarting the tradition at Hard Labor Creek for January 1, 2014. Sounds like many of the no-tag group will be there. I am inclined to be there myself. Ride, eat, and visit with friends and start the new year off right.

Think about it.

They don't write a will, recite Chicken Little or slice their ankles when disturbed.
Hunters might thank us for actually teaching the damn deer tolerance.
Deer roll their eyes, and don't contemplate things like... "Why the hell is this dufuss off the blacktop?" .... or "Geezuss eh Christ he needs to re-pack his exhaust!!" Few southeastern hunters have ever glassed western plains from a mesa as thundering sand rails blister the fire-breaks, or descending semis flip their Jake-brakes. The deer, (or Ibex, Oryx, antelope, elk, mulies, etc) hear and see the same crap every day... occasionally they run under the bed, but one of them farts and says "Look a squirrel" and they're back in aisle thirteen chowing down on acorns and persimmons. Hell a SMART hunter would triangulate the dead zones near the center of our ovals and wait for the vacillating herds of deer stampeding to evade the orange hordes.
Prima donna hunters who actually believe we reduce their odds of bagging their quarry are dumber than the deer.

Thanks for educating me Kip.
Well written, but my guess explaining all that in the woods at a hunters road block would mostly fall on deaf ears.

Though I could be wrong again about that too.
Might be worth a try.

Anybody wanna give it a go.

We could just hand out flyers.

I not educate you. I know you. You are ever bit as intelligent as the rest of us... I wrote that because I was bored. I not mess with ignorant hunters either, they watch too many TV to become expert hunter and trail guardians of the apocalypse strain. But you already knowed this.

BTW Tony I got me an M1 to be like you since we last shot. I even got boolits to pay you back with. Lets go shooting sometime. And riding. Or both.

My AR needs sight work, but I also got an M1 carbine and put together an 03-A3 and you can shoot those if you like. I have fairly close zeros and ammo for all 3...>(Carbine, Garand, '03)

Good to hear from you guys. Lots going on since the Trot.

Things will calm down in a few months and we can get back to dirt riding.

Things are looking good for a January 1, 2014 ride to start the year off right.

Lets see,

There is the last ride of the year on Monday Dec 30 and then I guess I will travel to HLC on the 31st and welcome in the new year and ride on the 1st.

sounds like a plan.
