stagecoach and hangover ride

it was nice to see some ADV guys at stagecoach this year.... i wish i could have stayed longer, but i had business to take care of back in pcola. the food was yummy like every year and i got to see all my riding friends ..... the birmingham riders made it in like every year too which i only get to see them once or twice a year. the rider that puts that shin dig on is a great dirt rider, dual sporter and street rider. his boys were there this year and they said they both got a KLX250 for dual sporting and doing part of the TAT.... good for them i havent seen them ride since they were on 50s trying to make it up one of many steep inclines at loretta lynns... i was amazed how big they have gotten!

doug and i are planning on coming tomorrow.... what time should we be there? im bringing blackeye peas with ham and corn bread ;)

oh and i know what you mean about big mud in back on HLC....

happy NEW year!

Looks like lots of rain over at HLC today, so I will not be coming that way :( Long drive for just a couple of hours of riding and when that place gets rain, it is one BIG mudhole. If it rained last weekend then they already have mud holes. The Saturday we went a couple of weeks ago which was BEFORE the rain and it was pretty muddy.

Oh well.... I hope you all have a happy new year. I will have LOTS of blackeye peas and cornbread since I didn't get to share them today...

Laugh DR650 Carb and intake mods...

Any hints on carb isse. Mid range stutter and searching when cruising. Just not running clean. Could be simple lack of use and old gas/semi-clogged jets etc. Hell dirty air filter for all I know...

Hey Vico,
FWIW, according to my records for the DR650, I am running a 142.5 main jet, the stock pilot jet, 2 flat washers and one "D" washer on the needle. I am running the extended fuel mixture screw-I believe it is 2 turns out. Removed the backfire screen, removed the snorkel, drilled 4 one-inch holes in the side of the air box and put vents there.
