Really? NC28 between Warwoman and Higblands has some tight curves. The overlook just before Highlands has an awesome view and the east end of Warwoman has just been paved and is perfect. I just did some gravel as well in the area last weekend. Going back this weekend. Traffic should be less since the holiday is over.

I don't think NC28, gorgeous as it is, runs between Highlands and Cashiers. It runs north and south through Highlands and doesn't come within ten road miles of Cashiers.

US64 does, tho, and, really -- it's miserable.

At the east end of Warwoman road, one has the option of heading north to highlands on NC28, or a bit south, then to Cashiers on 107. Both are excellent riding, tho 107 is considerably less-traveled.

I prefer the 107 road cuz it gives one a good shot at Pine Creek / Walnut Creek roads; and a bit north at Speedwell, Tilley Creek / Little Elijay roads. Each of those little back roads have sparse traffic, if any at all, even during leaf season.

Still, were I in the area I do both 28 and 107.

But not the ride between Cashiers and Highlands.

It's miserable.

OG & Waysherr, out.
We got here late yesterday. Gonna try your previous run. Dragon Sm Park and maybe camp or try and make it to Robbinsville tonight. We will see how it works.

We are hoping for 150 miles at most.

Me and Waysherr just got back from a 308 mile loop. Absolutely gorgeous scenery and without a doubt some of the best roads I've ever been on. My tour guide is awesome.

Left Robbinsville NC @ 0700, did some cabin/property scouting along Wayah rd, dropped down to Suches GA for lunch at Two Wheels.>>> Wolfpen Gap is 100% new blacktop all the way.>>> Think we're doin Cherohala and Tellico Plains TN tomorrow then head back to P'cola.

Going to dinner around 5:30 CST,,,,,if'n ya'll can join us you're more than welcome. BTW, Waysherr has had me out to the girly bars every night and we're kinda broke, so if you can buy us dinner, we'd greatly appreciate it.

Two Wheels/Suches

OG/Waysheer,

What did you guys think about "Two Wheels" in Suches? I heard that it had closed and then reopened with new owners/managers. Wondered if it was worth taking the wife by for lunch or dinner? Anybody else been there recently?

You boys enjoy the cool weather cause it is HOT here.

Thanks

A good place to eat if you are really hungry (buffet) is the Smith House in Dahlonega. Just off the Southwest corner of the town square. It is a boarding house with an interesting past...had a gold mine under one of the buildings which was illegal in the city limits of Dahlonega. Stayed there about 50 years ago with my parents and many times since (not the gold mine the boarding house).

Uuhhhh, your question is either Wishful Thinking, or sarcasm.
Either way, the answer is no.

Will do some research and give ya'll a call. I lost cell signal on Tallulah Rd when we were talk'n the other night.

Yesterday I was think'n the Ducati had A/C. In a couple miles, the temp dropped from 84 to 73 degrees. Love it!

Although I know it's gonna happen, I still pucker a bit every time the bike moves a couple of millimeters on a tar snake.

Very clean, staffers all had wonderful attitude, especially the girl at cash register take'n orders. Probably coz I was so hungry but the cheese burger plate was very good. Can get brisket with breakfast now.

When Wayne says he's gotta pee, he's not kid'n. Ran down his pant leg, under my bike and all the way down parking lot. Wow! That boy can pee.

Is that sign crooked or is it my head that's screwed up? (question does NOT require an answer from any of you FF's)

Temps not bad for July.

6 left from Munson crossroads and headed north.
One DNF because of fuel injection problem and three of us hit reserve and went way into the reserve before day was over.
One picture of Dirtwoman was all I took.

She's a very good rider.

Let's see, we did the Dragon, made it through SM Natl Park, went up to Clingmans Dome where the temp was 59 degrees at mid day, visited IronHorse Lodge, did some time on Cherohala Skyway and Moonshiner 28, Cheoah Dam where the Fugitive with Harrison Ford? was partially filmed and yesterday evening I roamed around solo and went across the Fontana Dam and into south end of Natl Park, got back to the hotel just after dark and just before a big rain.

Not so lucky today as we had to wear the rain gear for bout two hours, THEN coming down from Clingsman Dome the "check engine" light came on.

GREAT! I'm on one of them there eye-talian bikes, up in the mtns, in the rain. Error Code said DES GENERIC, WTF does that mean? Got out manual and read that this warning is suspension related. So back on the road. Then the LCD says des front fork compression, des front fork rebound, des rear shock compression, des rear shock rebound. When rain stopped and roads dried out the warning went away and I was able to select sport mode once again and have access to full 150 hp. While warning was lit it had defalted to some kind of Sponge Bob suspension and knocked hp down to 100. Life is good again, the joys of electronics and computers.

Mexican is the flavor tonight, then tomorrow Wayne said we're doing just under 400 miles! Glad I'm on the Multistrada and not on the aprilia.
Not to worry OG it's happend to me before. If you power up and then back off ond then back up again to fast it throws the ESA and sometimes the DTC into a generic default the computor needs time to read all the data without power interuption That being said I have not experienced a low power lock out.

Moving south tomorrow. No plans what so ever. But we are having fun.

I will post up pics if I ever get my phone to work...

All be Safe out there.
