Two Wheels/Suches

OG/Waysheer,

What did you guys think about "Two Wheels" in Suches? I heard that it had closed and then reopened with new owners/managers. Wondered if it was worth taking the wife by for lunch or dinner? Anybody else been there recently?

You boys enjoy the cool weather cause it is HOT here.

Thanks

A good place to eat if you are really hungry (buffet) is the Smith House in Dahlonega. Just off the Southwest corner of the town square. It is a boarding house with an interesting past...had a gold mine under one of the buildings which was illegal in the city limits of Dahlonega. Stayed there about 50 years ago with my parents and many times since (not the gold mine the boarding house).

Have you found your place yet? Heading up Wednesday for polar vortex. Heat and yellow flies getting the best of me.

Glad to hear Wolf Pen Gap is fresh. Hit a couple of warm tar snakes on 60 last time.

Uuhhhh, your question is either Wishful Thinking, or sarcasm.
Either way, the answer is no.

Will do some research and give ya'll a call. I lost cell signal on Tallulah Rd when we were talk'n the other night.

Yesterday I was think'n the Ducati had A/C. In a couple miles, the temp dropped from 84 to 73 degrees. Love it!

Although I know it's gonna happen, I still pucker a bit every time the bike moves a couple of millimeters on a tar snake.

Very clean, staffers all had wonderful attitude, especially the girl at cash register take'n orders. Probably coz I was so hungry but the cheese burger plate was very good. Can get brisket with breakfast now.

When Wayne says he's gotta pee, he's not kid'n. Ran down his pant leg, under my bike and all the way down parking lot. Wow! That boy can pee.

Is that sign crooked or is it my head that's screwed up? (question does NOT require an answer from any of you FF's)

Temps not bad for July.

6 left from Munson crossroads and headed north.
One DNF because of fuel injection problem and three of us hit reserve and went way into the reserve before day was over.
One picture of Dirtwoman was all I took.

She's a very good rider.
Being a girl aint got nothin to do with it.

Let's see, we did the Dragon, made it through SM Natl Park, went up to Clingmans Dome where the temp was 59 degrees at mid day, visited IronHorse Lodge, did some time on Cherohala Skyway and Moonshiner 28, Cheoah Dam where the Fugitive with Harrison Ford? was partially filmed and yesterday evening I roamed around solo and went across the Fontana Dam and into south end of Natl Park, got back to the hotel just after dark and just before a big rain.

Not so lucky today as we had to wear the rain gear for bout two hours, THEN coming down from Clingsman Dome the "check engine" light came on.

GREAT! I'm on one of them there eye-talian bikes, up in the mtns, in the rain. Error Code said DES GENERIC, WTF does that mean? Got out manual and read that this warning is suspension related. So back on the road. Then the LCD says des front fork compression, des front fork rebound, des rear shock compression, des rear shock rebound. When rain stopped and roads dried out the warning went away and I was able to select sport mode once again and have access to full 150 hp. While warning was lit it had defalted to some kind of Sponge Bob suspension and knocked hp down to 100. Life is good again, the joys of electronics and computers.

Mexican is the flavor tonight, then tomorrow Wayne said we're doing just under 400 miles! Glad I'm on the Multistrada and not on the aprilia.
Not to worry OG it's happend to me before. If you power up and then back off ond then back up again to fast it throws the ESA and sometimes the DTC into a generic default the computor needs time to read all the data without power interuption That being said I have not experienced a low power lock out.

Yes. Phil and I are on a very easy ride through all the old stuff you all know well but to us we are first timers. Hammock camped at Cades Cove last night. Hotel in Cherokee tonight.. room on the river with super cold air... Ahhh I love hotel camping...

Moving south tomorrow. No plans what so ever. But we are having fun.

I will post up pics if I ever get my phone to work...

All be Safe out there.

Who runs the best MSF course in the area? The lady wants to learn to ride, and I think the XR250 will be perfect. Instead of me trying to be a know-it-all, I'd rather her go to the course and be taught by a professional.
I'm military, buts she's not. So base course isn't an option.

Thanks

mountain ride

Back in the barn, logged about 1650 miles, rode all the old goodies and some new asphalt thru Dolenaga and Chatuge (real nice) and not much traffic at all. Stayed at the Dragon resort 2 nights and a couple nights in Murphy (friends cabin) saw old friends (nice stalking I mean running into OG and Waysherr) and met some new ones. The trip was a little quick with little to no downtime and the ironbutt ride back and forth may require rethinking. I'm beginning to understand why so many trailer their bikes. But it was great to be in the mountains mid week, the Bandit ran great and I am already planning my next trip. Peace out Lapdog

Hey Josh saw your note, College boy took the course from a guy that runs his office out of Pensacola Motorsports but does the class at the Harley shop and he gave it good reviews.. Learned a lot and got the certificate at the class without having to retest at FHP.

Eglin used to allow dependents on a space available basis...might be worth a call if you haven't already for your location.
