Ian, as you approach the power station south of Choctaw Field, you will see a cell tower very near the parking area. Start looking for a large substation with gravel entrance, park in woods to the right of entrance...

Sunday ride

I may ride with you guys in the morning. Had a good ride going today with Mug & crew until the KLR decided it had had enough just short of the helo's. I think it was tired cause it decided to take a nap on the flat bed too. Maybe I'll have better luck with the KLX.

The chances of Phil making it tomorrow are remote but he does want to ride Spec Monday... maybe BBQ will be open. So if anyone is thinking about a Monday ride that is the plan for now.

BTW:lost my Eglin map... when does hunting season open. Soon we will be sharing the woods with out "bubba" friends.

Wow. What a day.

First off I gotta say thanks to the guys who made my first time out on the dirt a blast. Mug, Inept, DirtFreak, Barney, and the other KTM (sorry bro, forgot your name!.)

Today was exhilarating, exhausting, and borderline terrifying at times. After 15 years of street riding sand has become a mortal enemy, the bringer of pain. Guess I'm going to have to re-evaluate that if I plan on doing anymore rides. I could only laugh as I'm fighting the DR to stay up and the guys ahead are cruising as if it was nothing. My total inexperience showed, but I guess I can only get better!

Trip in summery. Meet up, quick run to get my eglin pass, RFR, broken down KLR, flipped over KLR, mug almost goes to jail. All in all a BLAST.

The meet up

Time for a break. And damn did I need it.

RFR.. Inept is psycho

Barneys ride goes on strike.

Think it'll fly?

Good times lads!

This
Good on ya for being out there Fellas. I plan to head over the 11th. KTM is back together with a fresh front tire (anyone need a Bridgestone M-59 front that's probably 70% or better, I'll bring it with me.) Refresh on the rear shock, and some adjustments here and there

Plus one. It must have been on the slab back home.

What did your DRZ get on the dyno?

Something was up with the way the dyno was picking the ignition signal off the bike. It shows 40hp and 60 ft lbs torque, but hitting the red line at 4500rpm. DRZ revs to 10,000 rpm so I'm not really believing this yet. Shes running a quite a bit rich on the main jet. Going to dial that back and try it again soon. Will keep you posted
