There won't be any PM'n on my part because whats been progressing over the last few years is getting too hard to ignore or blow off any longer. Still, I'm at a loss as to the "why's" of it all. What I have to say will from now on be stated up front, here, and will make an effort of avoiding innuendo (An indirect or subtle, usually derogatory implication in expression or insinuation) or using a "SDH" character as a tool to hide behind for such humor,,,,,unlike some others here. If I have, I apologize and will strive to look harder at my post from anothers perspective. Hope everyone else does too. Whats funny to one person isn't necessarily to another and some comments are best left untyped We're getting a lot of new people on board lately, and it's rude to assume they "get it" with the strange humor or whatever it is. ![]() Its taken me a couple of hours to gather the building blocks of this mean humor. And if pressed to present the evidence, so be it. It gets posted here. Should make some interesting reading (or not). Think of it as making a cake. A bit of this, a bit of that and shazzam you got yourself a cake. Sorry new people. I'm almost as puzzled about this as you are. Just itchin to go ridin in a few weeks when the weekends get less busy.

In the Rocky's, when you crash, you don't hit the ground... you slam into a rock! Which is what happened to Trent.
![]() A four-wheeler showed up and offered to haul him down to a road. While waiting until Trent could stand the pain enough to be strapped to the four-wheeler, some back-packers gave him some pain pills. The four-wheeler guy took Trent all the way to his camp site where we loaded him onto the guy's truck who then drove him to the hospital in Gunnison. You hear a lot of complaining about hikers vs. motorcycles vs. 4-wheelers. Well, on the mountain, everybody helps anyone in trouble. It's changed my attitude about others that share our love of the outdoors! |

Your comments remind me of the Equestrians in our area on their horses. Every rider I know always stops their bike and gives them the right-a- way for safety's sake. Maybe it helps to change their minds about offroad motorcycles just a wee bit. I treated hunters with lesser regard cause I was just passin through on the quite DR. Now with the loud ass DRZ,,,,I'll probably give-em a break and do more riding on the Wee. It cost those guy's plenty of $$$ for the love of their short seasoned sport.

Yo! Dickweed here!
Battery tender went and went and went. All day yesterday it never went to the "green state" (- wherever that is [yuk yuk]) - fuck it - I jumped her off this morning... rode around FWB for about 15 miles. Came back & let it sit for about 20 minutes - tried it again - nothing - still dead. (Hey - it's an '06) - I guess a new battery is in my future. That ride yesterday was probably one of the best rides I've missed. Hell - Dallas's Dad was there! How cool is THAT? Great pictures guys - damn sorry I couldn't tag along. Forrest's throw down is next wkend - but I know I can't make that because my oldest and youngest are flying down to be w/me fer me B-day - w00t! Can't wait to see 'em. Their arrival is Thursday, departure is Sunday. Just got back from a sweaty-ish 50 mile ride on my mini-goldwing-scooter (LOL T!! ;-) - funny how she never gives me a bit of problem. Her tires were a little low but not that bad - I aired 'em up (f33-r36) so old Moonpie and I headed out toward the west with the stereo blastin and vulnerable "fast cars" in our sights - watchout you wannabe fast and furious idiots! Sportbikes can smoke me, but most butthead-owned, chip-equipped, trashcan-tailpipe automatic (or standard) civics (whatever) don't stand a chance. LOL! It's sorta like "flying" a slow plane through/around fast ones (wink). Hardleys alllll over the place, but I didn't even think about them... On hwy 85 I felt a tad bit of "runout" from the front end at around 106 indicated. WTH -- I went ahead and opended her up. She was really jumping around @ 114. :-/ Either way, I backed off, and afterwards, MoonpieIII seemed happy to have stretched her legs. Anyway - happy end of the weekend y'all - I hope our enduro riders did well at their events, and everyone got home safe and sound. I guess it's time for me to go back and read the communique here.
