Moabman you gonna be out on the new 5tirty?

Temps should be in the low 60s with 40% Relative Humidity!

Can't ride today, Fathers Day. My girls have me busy all day. Hopefully next week. Got the plate for the XC-W . Waiting for the Horn. Brake Light, and Mirror.

What do you need those for (horn, brake light, mirror) ? Us fastburners just need throttle and brakes.... right?

Great ride on Saturday

Thanks to Rebel Red for a great time Saturday am. We rode about 80 miles of Blackwater, finishing the ride with a very needed swim. Other than a few difficult times cranking no incidents. (What was I thinking not getting an electric starting bike). I think I need a few more runs up there before heading to sandy Eglin. Still getting used to "head up, stand up, more gas". I almost bit it a couple of times but managed to stay upright. That was a looong ride home afterward. I didn't even stop to refuel thinking I'd rather give my sore ass a break and walk if I run out. I did make it with some fuel to spare. Thanks again, look forward to next time.

I did get to sneak away yesterday for a quick bw burn - showed the jenkem baron norman riley rd (aka the panhandle dragon) and red rock rd's less populated river crossing. hes about got that klr rock solid.
almost lost my drz front caliper - that goddamn oversize rotor has got to go. the relocation bracket came unbolted and let the caliper drag on the rim before I could stop so now my rim has some hard earned "character". anyone know of a cheap place for stock size drz s model front brake rotors?

FW/D - I think you did great for your first off road adventure in a few years. Sand, schmand gets easier with practice and knobbies. Post up when your ready to ride and we'll do it again, hopefully more of the adv crew will be able to make it out next time.
