I hear the gate on Sherwood has been open and is supposed to stay open, You guys could do a ride through Redwood valley, Tomki, to Sherwood over to the coast and back on Brancomb rd or hed south through Boonville, That would be a fun ride.

Dan have you Lea ann been doing any Duelsport rides or are you guy's mainly dirt these days?
Yeah Sherwood was open as of last weekend. You guys are bad to the bone riding those bikes on MNF trails. I'm headed up there Saturday but I usually stick to the fireroads and easy trails by the time I get there...

Kiel,

Go ride trails 24, 26 and 14. There be plenty of trees. Come up on Sunday and I'll point you in the right direction.

I'm out for sunday. End of the semester reports due cramping my free time. Hell, sheetiron is the weekend before finals , I REALLY hope running that wont be a mistake.

Speaking of, I need to order up some heavy duty tubes and do a tire swap for the knobbies beforehand.

No matter Tahoe will be a fookn blast

Your Mefo's will be fine for the Sheetiron, unless it's really muddy.
Don't worry about changing them.

White Mountian Research Ride

I thought i would throw this out there. I have been wanting to get down to this but never get the time off. Gillafunk has been down a few times but with no luck. Sandplow and Vrago have rode it and talk about a good time. Any one want to make plans for a Nor Cal group to roll down together? The wife wants to ride the Ural down there and ride to the mountain top.

Yeah buddy. I have been thinking about the same thing. My Dad wants to get out for a Fri night Sat Sun campout ride. There is a good loop through clear lake, Lake Pillsbury, to Covelo, then over Sheerwood to the coast and back through cow mnt. Kinda like the Sheet iron 300 but more miles and sights.

I am planning on going to the Assault on Tahoe ride are you?

Schedule(by popular DEMAND)

6-12-09 Friday start time is 9:00 A.M. my house/Lower Kingsbury Grade.
We will head over Kingsbury grade down to Gardnerville out east on Pine nuts rd over the mountains to Wellington. Come back by Topaz Lake. Lunch can be in Wellington if we are running late or at Topaz Lake. Then head West across 395 to Leviathon peak towards Markleville and up to Tahoe if you make it that far.

6-13-09 Saturday start time is 8:00 A.M. same location. Head up to the top of Kingsbury Grade to head North on Genoa Peak rd. This runs parallel to the East shore of Lake Tahoe. Comes out on 50 at 28. About a mile of pavement then we cross over and head down Kings Canyon down to Carson City. These two trails are less than 40 miles but with the view and H8chains stopping for pictures I think it will take 4 to 4.5 hours. Across Carson to dirt up over the hills to drop down into Virginia City. Here's where it gets foggy. After you FF get drunk and kicked out of VC on a rail, we might have to shorten the afternoon. If we have made good time we will head to SW Reno and catch some fireroads that go back up to Kings Beach. Slab it back around the lake to the South shore.

BBQ at my house. Time dependant on when we get back up to the lake.

Sunday meet 10:00 am(or when ever) same place.
We will work our way around the South shore on various trails and roads and come out over by Camp Richardson. Taking 89 around Emerald Bay to Tahoma. Go in on the Rubicon trail but we branch off on fireroads heading(before it gets crappy) to Blackwood canyon then back out on 89 to Tahoe City. Above Tahoe City on Mt Watson rd along the ridge lines to come out at 267 on Brockway summit. Bay area riders could take 267 down to Truckee and head home. Southerners got to back track the slab as 28 well be closed for paving.

I'll try this again.
Anybody in the area interested in doing a midweek street run?
I am familiar with the 128, 121 and the 175 as well as knoxville/berryessa and the 20.
Anybody care to show me some of the real gems?

I'm on a KLR with perelli scorps and I like a fairly relaxed pace/ minimal braking for the turns.

Hi cory! Looks like I've got a buyer for the 650. Super sad to see it go, but just fell in love with the 1200

That is a sick bike! Is that the bike you are buying? Nice!
