I'm Ron's brother. Our folks have a cabin in Clearlake Park. A group of us will be staying there Friday & Saturday night. BBQ, beer, etc. The place has a flush toilet, and a hot shower, but not many beds. Guys set up sleeping bags around the yard, no need for tents. If you are interested, send Ron or myself a PM and we can send you the address, and meet times. BTW, we are looking at a 9:am kick stands up start time on Saturday.

Friday's ride will include Bartlett Springs Road, Indian Valley Reservoir and maybe Walker Ridge. Saturday will go NE on Twin Valley Road, French Ridge, Sled Ridge then into Upper Lake for gas and food. The return will be Pitney Ridge back to French Ridge. Options from there include returning on Twin Valley, or going up to Goat Mtn. and play high up there. I'm working on hard/easy splits and will have GPS tracks available.

The majority of guys roll in Friday evening/night. You can meet us and we can make fun of you wand all that fun stuff while drinking beer. That way, if you don't like us, you bow out easily on Saturday by "getting lost".

Or, come to breakfast at the Main Street Cafe in Clearlake. We leave at 9:00am sharp.

Check your PM.

Ate lots of dust, rode many miles, consumed many beers, ate lots of unhealthy food. We had high speed fire roads, river/creek washes and tight single track. Saw the big bikes (and riders) struggle in the tight stuff, but fly in the faster sections. Stayed up way too late partying with a late arriving surprise buddy Friday night. A flat tire, a lost rider, broken bikes, injured riders, gas issues, and only one LEO encounter. In other words, a typical HLDMC weekend.

I got some pics as well as others. I'll post in Ride Reports.

I had a good time but i got worked on trail 5 i think. From then on out I was exhausted. Ill post my pics on here and the ride report. I didnt take many as I was tired, hot, and trying to keep up with all the sub 600cc bikes.

The other "Big Bike" on the ride

There is a bike in there

This is the bike I wish i was on

Where the little DRZ400 was just zipping through my bike and I were taking a break

We got off to a late start and and ended up trying to find you guys in the French ridge area.
We started in Bear Valley over to French ridge, then hit some intermediate trails over to M10. We contemplated heading towards Stonyford but decided on heading back via 37 to Penny Pines. Stopped to offer help on the only group we seen all day, 3 guys on RFS's and one had a flat.
The only other person we seen was a girl on a yammi, that's it.

Cory, your a good sport man, how did the HP2 do?
The big bikes are great but they wear you out fast in the tighter stuff, the XR650's are great for most of that area.

Hopefully I can catch some of you on the next ride..
