If anybody is interested, I'm going to ride
at Cow this Sunday. Arrive around 8am
and leave around noon.

Doing a little work on the Husky so I'll be on the DRZ.

Let me know.

Sonoma County Visit...

I'll be visiting Guerneville for a week at the end of July with the family. I'm going to huck my dualie down for some fun. Can anyone recommend some good riding around the area, or volunteer to show an out of towner around? Thanks.

How far can you go? You're smack dab in the middle of some amazing pavement riding, but you're a couple hours away from much dirt riding. For pavement, try going over to Cazadero, then north on King's ridge/tin barn road, left on skaggs out to stewart's point store for a bite and some gas, and then back Skaggs to healdsburg, and down dry creek/westside road to sweetwater springs road, which takes you back to guerneville- should be about 4-5 hours of very, very twisty pavement. Watch for cars on the one lane roads (i.e., most of those roads).

There's no public-access dirt riding in Sonoma County if that's what you're looking for. The closest is the Cow Mountain OHV area about 80 miles north of Guerneville up Hwy 101.

If you just want to get out and explore on pavement, there are some nice little back country roads around the Guerneville area. Tin Barn Rd to King Ridge Rd to Stewart's Point/Skaggs Springs Rd is a nice ride looping back through the Dry Creek Valley and back to Guerneville via Westside Rd/Sweetwater Springs Rd.

I've lived in the area all my life so feel free to pm me - if I'm not working or otherwise occupied, I'd be happy to do a ride or two with ya.

Dave

Thanks!

Thanks for the replies. Looking at maps of the Russian River valley it seems that there's lots of good riding. I've got a little KLX250S that rides on a hitch carrier... If there's no real offroad riding, I'll still bring it along, as it's plenty of fun on the pavement too.

Happy motoring,
-W.

Court has been delayed twice and I'm not sure how long I'm going to be prevented from seeing or getting my bike back. I filed for a divorce today. I'm wondering if anybody here would mind helping me get my bike back. The bike is at our home in Nicasio at a historic ranch/organic farm we live on. Someone else who lives on the ranch (most likely the owner of the ranch/real good people) who could accompany you to the bike so it can be ridden to the edge of the property where I could legally be. The owner is also saying I have to move the bike because there is a summer day camp that recently started on the ranch and there is the possible liability of a kid climbing on it and it falling on them. Another small detail is the battery on the bike is dead. I have a brand new battery with me that needs to be dropped in. I would gladly pay someone for their time and perhaps buy them a beer or two at Rancho Nicasio. If you're interested you should be of height or experienced on a big bike like this. It's an 08 R1200GS ADV. Thank you for your time. Oh, I'm also willing to pay for your time.

ride/camp

This last rain brought the dust down. I will be having some time after July 8th to ride. 128 is a blast! What do you say inmates? "El pueble callado jamás será escuchado."

So, is anyone interested in hitting up 128 to Fish Rock to 1 sometime next week?

I am most likely down!
If you can pin down a day that would be easier for me.
What are you riding?
