Wow you guys took over Baja!!!

Looks like a great time you all had, this was one of my favorite places. I see Victoria has upgraded the parking lot with some concrete!!!!
Thanks for all the pictures and taking the time to write about this trip! I am really enjoying seeing where you all went!
Ladybug, how was your bike? I can't wait to get back down there next year!

Sherry's bike got alittle tired right before this pic.

A quick stop at Coco's corner...

We all met up at the LA bay cut off. After refueling out of the back of a pickup, we had a bite to eat and BS'ed for a while before the final leg of todays ride...

The gas station has never been open since I have been coming to Baja....

But for some reason, they continue to use the bathrooms.

Well... A tiger coulda done it but the DRZ was a hoot on the Puertecitos dirt section. I know I wouldn't have had the ballz to run 75+ on the Tigger...

We all met up at a restuarant in LA Bay for lunch.....

And they were a thirsty bunch.

Like I said, we were good for the local economy where ever we stopped.

We picked up another rider. Pat said he was Canadian, But Jorge said he was a Newfie.

From there it was off to the camp ground.

This guy landed right in front of our palapa....

I had a burrito left over from lunch, so Dad decided to feed the little guy...

Within seconds, the crowd grew bigger....

He makes friends where ever he goes.....

Al doesn't look to sure about what he's getting there. Or what he's being charged for it.

While standing there, the 2 guys sellling gasoline asked if Al was my "esposo" - my spouse/husband? I threw my head back in laughter (no offense, Al), but returned by asking if his buddy standing there was his "esposo"? I'm not sure he got the same laugh out of it that I did!!

A quiet sunrise. This was taken from my warm and cozy sleeping bag. Minimal effort required. Now if this doesn't make you want to stay in Baja... Now if I could just get someone to bring me coffee in bed...

Sunrise from my Sleeping Bag

Heading up to the mission

Pat called these Dr Seuss Christmas Trees

This is as close as I got to the mission

A couple of miles before this I was having too much fun came around a corner carrying too
much speed and lost it in some rocks. I banged my knee pretty good, I hit the kill switch
and crawled off the road so I didn't get run over. Erica was first on the scene and I saw
her turn off the key so we didn't have to deal with a dead Battery, thanks Erica. They got
my bike stood up and I hobbled aboard. I rode up to mission sat around and rode back. Thanks
guys for making sure I made to pavement with no problems.

I must say Sam, the mission and the road to the mission was the highlight of this whole ride. For anyone going to LA Bay, do not miss this. My pics of this coming soon.......

It was bad enough when the wind blew the Super Bug and me over on the highway a few day's earlier and Barry having to rescue me, but this one was special. It was embarrassing dumping the Super Bug on that huge 4" sand berm just because I wanted a picture of the bike in the flowers then after all that discover the battery in my camera was dead and my backup hadn't been charged yet. We won't even discuss Ryolite At least there were no "moving violations" and I didn't receive any injuries. I hate been short.

Tim and Barry, thanks for being there for me.
