Question Louisiana riders

What's going on in this area (Lafayette) during this time of year? It's not cold and it's not hot yet. It seems like there should be something going on locally. I'm just visiting until the 20th of April so I'm not that familiar with the area.

Oh, yeah, boiled crawfish should be relatively easy to find during your stay.

Aw nuts! We have to be headed back to the West by the 20th of April. We are joining some friends on a tour of the NW coast this year. One of our RV buddies grew up there so she will be giving us the "native guide" tour of the 3 state NW area and we'll hit Victoria Island as well.

Fervently praying for a drop in fuel prices now.........

Well, if you want to see some cajun flair in action, visit Breaux Bridge any Saturday about 11am to 1pm. Find the coffeehouse downtown to hear a good cajun music jam. Go earlier and dance to a great Zydeco band from 9-11am at Cafe Des Amis nearby. (bring earplugs, its loud).

Or take a drive up to Savoy's Music Shop just east of Eunice on hwy 190. Traditional cajun jam from 9-12n every Saturday.

Saturday afternoon visit Vermillionville in Lafayette, a reconstructed Acadian village. Another jam there from 1p-4p, very traditional.

I usually play a fiddle at these jams, but haven't figured out how to haul fiddle on D/S bike yet.

Eat crawfish and cajun dance at Mulates in Breaux Bridge or Randol's in Lafayette most any night of the week.

More?
