just to go along with the rest of the crap shots you've thrown its odd that he sold all the klr fairings he made, and caused uproar, from the demand. with the cost of gps units, panniers and suspension maybe you under estimate the klr rider

Well I think you proved my point. If he can sell that many KLR fairings, what would make him think he couldn't do the same or more with a better F650 fairing?

Ian makes a great looking product here, I must say, and I know you put your equipment through the paces. Hard to keep up with you out in the bushes!

As ever,

Hey Stovey good to hear from you. Take another look at the MT1000 pictures, I broke it at the start. Before I met up with you.
Even without the windscreen the Lynx provides a much better ride and lighting than stock. That's why I wasn't too concerned with replacing the screen too quickly.

Can't take credit as it's something I picked up on at the first F650.com boards back in......hell it's been a while, 11-12 years..... 1999

I would start with just making a mounting kit for the Lynx that would fit the F650 single. Thinking you unload quite a few of those in no time at all.

Question

are the lynx and the phoenix the same size?
I see the sides are different but are the shield and frontal area the same?

No, the Lynx is about 2" shorter and 2" narrower. However, the Lynx mounts higher on the bike than the Phoenix, so the top of the screen height is roughly the same.

Nice kick stand, is that Harley OEM or does the bike come stock with a brick holder?
I don't know what everybody is tlalking about when they say the fairing's ugly. I thnk it looks great on there. The bike would look (and see) a lot better with the twin Hellas though. That Rat Fink eyeball is the hidious part of that bike.
