I'm using the "stock" bulbs - and they ROCK! HID is on the list, but more to reduce power requirements than because I feel a need for more light. I've got some concerns on a HID high beam - because of the startup time. Rather, they come on - but have to warm up to their full output. Only a problem if you need to "flash" someone/something.

Well, it's almost a year since I fitted the generic Lynx to my TE450, this Friday, I got my 2nd damage, my first damage was shattering the stock clear screen. This damage was from a rock off the spinning rear wheel of a Husaberg FE 570, with new tires! Man, I'm lucky I still have a my high beam. Guess I'll learn some fiberglass repair....
Ian, the fairing has been great, workmanship and durability are superb, almost 6,000 miles on it now. ![]() ![]() After dismounting the Lynx, I found that one of the three mounting tabs had been broken by the rock, THROUGH the fiberglas, wow, can't believe the high beam survived.

Im no expert either, but I find "kitty hair" easier to work with than glass sheets and it mught be the ticket for this.

I did a Jake-fix on it (fast and ugly), looks OK, not great, close enough to paint black over and hit the road, I'd rather ride than spend too much time on cometics, 65F here, had to get out there....
