I installed this arc (2 weeks ago) that is normally standard on the NX250.
It wasn't on my bike so I had to get it from a scrapyard.

The difference is very noticable. The front-end feels more stiff and the steering reaction has really improved.

So if you dont have this on your NX. Get one or make your own it really improves the handling of the bike.

Not that I can't find it I just don't have time to search for the little M.FER.
Yea you got the bike don't run now.
Is the replacement part#30410-KW3008? $183.50

It's tucked up under the gas tank..

The original part # is
30410-KW3-008 $155

the updated part # is
30410-KW3-680 $162

from
www.servicehonda.com

seems like another ADV'er might have found one cheaper..

Now that CAN'T be right....kirakos said that you don't need one because the brace won't make a difference in handling.

That sounds to be a average/high priced, Sir Mobs. The value determination and choice is totally up to you.
The advantage is that as a starter/gear combo, you get all the parts you need at one time.
Make sure you get a guarantee, but those bearings still looked oily to me.
I wish for the best for you.
If you want you can search Ebay, 'honda starter' in the motorcycle section, there were over 2,200 Honda motorcycle starters there. But you would still need the reduction gears.

He removed the front FORK BRACE??

I sure did feel the difference.

Now I am having trouble finding a new tire. Went to a dealer today and he couldnt deliver me one. I am going to 2 other dealers tomorrow and see what they can offer me. If it costs to much to get a new rear tire then I will concider doing the mod of the XL250 wheel swap.

I have the luck that there is a local Honda demolischer nearby where I can get the parts (got lots of my missing/broken NX250 parts there very cheap)

Also I when I have the time I will post some pics of my the Exhaust muffler wich is slightly modified. And I found out that my NX has a NX650 rear fender. So will post pics of that too.

Stop the world on want to get off.

What the hell is with people trying to kill them selves with taking off parts the father Honda wanted on the bike to begin with.
This craze must be stopped at all cost. I blame Jeff with all this happening
guys running aftermarket tires and making their own racks and wind screens.

Thats it I'm calling HOnda to let them know what your all up too!

Oh what I really wanted to say hey, VC what the deal with the other part#
Is the other new and inproved or how is it that you came buy this number?
I'm talking about 30410-kw3-60 over the 30410-kw3-008.

I don't want the greek gods dropping locus or toads on me for using something other than Father Honda inttended.

Oh my knickerbockers! That was too funny!

When Honda changes or discontinues a part, they supercede the old OEM # with a newer updated one.

The first number is the original OEM # 30410-KW3-008...
since that batch is 20+ years old, and wasn't all that durable, they updated the parts list with a different OEM #, which is 30410-KW3-680.

If you tried to order 30410-KW3-008, the dealer should have been honest and told you it was discontinued, and about the newer part number.
If not, you might have actually gotten one of the older ones(though my dealer says that one is 'discontinued, no longer in wholesaler warehouse stock', YMMV).

OK then this is the place to go for the good stuff. I will order this thing up
and then like the for fathers before me I shall throw reason to the wind and rip open the old one just because I can.

In the US if want something and someone don't sell it, We will make and if it's good enough then sell it to others. and if someone asked why,
BECAUSE WE CAN.
