Try a key. Reach through the mesh and tap the blade. Be careful not to do it where it can catch it though. I had to hit mine when I 1st got it. A tap after the light came on would free it and it started working.

Did the rear 17" swap from an 84 XL350R. 40 bucks on ebay. Worked just like the write up said.

If I jumper it to the negative, it works no problems. I've replaced the temperature sensor and thermostatic switch. The temperature unit should be in on Monday. I've never seen a red light, but keep it jumpered just in case it isn't working due to a bad temperature unit. The only other thing I could imagine is a bad ground from looking at the wiring diagrams. Taking my gas tank off to paint soon so I'll check that then.

Thanks for the tips

I don't think it'll come on till the red light comes on....but I see your point.

A guy on EBay has a kit that lowers the kick on temp. But for my money, I think I'd like to just hot wire it with a switch...

but then again, mines working fine so it'll be a while for I need to do either of those.

EBay linky...

I have mine wired to a switch and turn it on when riding in traffic or for the last couple of minutes before getting to my destination. Frequently using while offroading and lots o mud or stops and slow sections. I have only used it once when truley needed, the red light came on while off road. I turned the switch on and within a minute the light went out.

woody - big is right, haha tmrw I think he will be tucking me to bed,
but seriously 'till 30!!! just riding buddies then haha

about the front 17" imho
the 17 in the rear brings both tires to a similar outside diameter if you want more of a supermoto twitchy feel, someone talked about it earlier in the thread
going to a smaller diameter front would probably further reduce its somewhat limited "offroadability" and your tire choices get a bit stranger too

I'm not sure, but I think a smaller diameter front would aid in counter steering, side-to-side transitions.

I think it would...I donno...

I have a feeling that's why Motarders do it...

I'm going for a more street oriented bike, and also want the tire options.

I don't think a single Conti is available if you have a 16 & 19 combo...

(Actually there is one, but it's not the Attack)

I think it would be nice to see Distanzias on a Nx....

New Bike Lift

I just aquired a new lift table. I will have to make a few mods but it works great so far.

That makes a really nice bike lift. What was it actually designed for?
