Yes, it's a dupe...Fork oil question

My apologies: this is a duplicate thread. I did search the thread(s) but didn't find what I was looking for.

Can anyone advise the best or proper fork oil for the '88 NX250. We are rebuilding the forks tonight and I hoped to pick up the fork oil today.

It's 1009 hrs. in California...let's see if someone can answer this before 1100 hrs. so I can go buy some fork oil! Thanks.

The original fluid is ATF.

I've heard of people using 10w or 20w fork oil, but mine has ATF in it..

There is going to be a fork fluid change writeup within a day or too here..
It's already photo'd, just has to be uploaded and posted..

Sorry Aronhk I missed your post. The seat is custom built by Renazco Racing. http://renazco.com/

Did we ever decide on a matching set of tires for the factory front and rear wheels besides the $200 set of Trailwings? I would like them to be an even trade off between on/off road but do 80% of my riding on the road. I would need to be able to get them by Thursday the 28th.

Thanks,

Wood.

A set of tires is roughly $120 over on tiresunlimited.com Not sure where you're getting the $200 figure.

It's Alive!!!

Yea baby one new cdi an we're off and running!!!!

No pics of the bike alone, the weather sucks right now. I will post some shots of the bike and the old cdi box over the weekend.

Thanks VC for the tip on where to buy. They told me both part numbers are still available and the 008 is for 87-88 and the 680 is for 1990. I went with the newer part number.

$200 was from the Honda dealer. I ordered a pair online for $125. Should be here Tuesday.

throttle cable

Hey,

everyone seems to be out of stock on the throttle cable...it's the return cable that I need. Anyone have a source...or one lying around?

Thanks!

I just ordered a set of cables, both throttle and clutch..

They came in without delay...

I didn't use this place, but sometimes ordering from them with shipping is still cheaper than my local dealer...
