What did your NX do today?

I just watched mine ride out with my wife on it's back heading to the
DMV.

I know it was bought for my wife to ride, but I think I may get a ride or two out it.

First ride to work 28 miles

OK rode the NX to work today in a hard cold wind, and the bike runs good.
Had three guys stop me and ask about the NX as they had all owned one at some point in their lifes. Anyone else that asked about it thought it was pretty cool. The rear shock or lack there of as got to be replaced. Any thoughts what will bolt right on, or do I need to go with aftermarket? I don't care what Honda wanted, this is for my wife and I'ed like to keep it low without the poko hopping

Aftermarket will be your best bet. You could possibly find one from another bike that fit but the chances of them being sprung, valved and have the correct stroke for the NX linkage ratio and weight will be slim to none.

Ah good I knew you wouldnt resist for long
I rode mine today and in 8 degrees C and was pretty chilly with the crazy winds, there are a few options for the rear shock but the most viable one to me soo far is the WP as it seems to be pretty cheap for the value and quality and they will valve it for your weight.

On another note,
I rode by a friends house today and he took some killer pics of my bike with his fancy camera today.

I must say they are pretty nice considering the location was his alleyway
so I just couldn't resist sharing.
Too bad the pic limit on the site is soo low
but you can see them all here in full res

Isn't there a place that will rebuild your NX shock back to stock?

I know that isn't the modern setup, but thanks to you guys, i'm afraid i might 'pogo' mine...

so i'm just going to line up alternatives for when it happens...
and add the info to the FAQ on page 1.

Nope, they are not serviceable.

Wilber shocks

One of my brothers (I have 6) always spends the money on wilber shocks
and now I think the time has come for me to spend a little cash with them. After all this is my wife's bike and she is worth it.
