Hmmmm. I was under the impression that IS Malcolm Smith, not just a guy wearing a jersey that says "Malcolm Smith."

I suspected such but didn't want to assume. the rider is definitely Malcolms stature. But the number plate #18 threw me off. Probably just part-timin' it desert racing Didtrict 37 I guess.
I'm guessing somewhere up here in the Mojave.

With those Joshua trees and the mountains in the background it looks to me to be out north of Red Rock/Dove Springs.

That Husky rider has a YELLOW stripe indicting he's an ammie like the Spoke Bender behind him. Malcolm has been an expert (RED stripe) since forever.

"Pound Your Ossa" is what we used to call that whooped out area.

Nice Steens Hodaka upgraded with Curnutt shocks. I think Steens came with Girlings

Killer bikes dudes. When I was 15, I traded my Honda CT70 for a stripped down knobby tire clad 60's triumph 500. I had to push the triumph home when the plugs fouled.
