Thanks for that GermanTrick, it's really stuck with me. These four, well-worded sentences say it all. I am the same age as you, but my Dad was not a rider. It's really touched me. I guess I'm relating to that concept of "body aging; mind still young."
Great pics of your pop as well. He IS quite a guy.

This has been my main MC project this winter. The bike has been in the family since new. It was ridden in scrambles in California and Arkansas by my Uncle. I've had it for about 15 years and until now felt bad about not doing anything with it.
The bike was in pretty rough shape but mostly all there.

Drop Dead gorgeous Rapid Dog. What year is it ? The seat looks 66< and the exhaust 67> ?
Is there a little space above the top of the headlight brackets, between the brackets and top tube clamp? I have one and can't figure out why. I have had the forks apart twice thinking something is amiss.
