I remember a "Riceman Road Tour" ride report, well written with nice pictures.

Do you have anymore of those for our enjoyment?

Looking forward to see them pix too.

Riceman, "I've been pretty busy lately." Come on man, your Mother never would buy that line, none of your teachers would buy that line. We are waiting.

( Just Joking with you. ) But, I remember the great Ride Report you did before.

Bike Transport from Indonesia to Palawan?

Hi Guys. Nice thread with lots of photos to remind me when I was there in early 80s in North Luzon (north of Bontoc); thanks for that.

I've got a strange one for you. I know Palawan is nearest to Indonesia. Is there a chance of getting a m/bike taken across to PI from Indo by a fisherman or similar? I cannot find a ferry service. Just wondering how flexible the boat owners/fishermen are if a handful of $$$ are waved in front of their noses to help them overcoem the obvious hassles of taking a passenger.

All I would say is anything is possible. However, it better be done the correct way, and who knows what that is.

If it is not done correctly the bike could be held up for a very long time, if not forever.

There are bikes available in the Philippines, and that may be better than trying to schedule importing, as well as less costly.

Good luck, and as you probably already know, there is some great riding here.

Welcome to the Philippine Adventure Ride Thread!

Wow, the North of Bontoc during the 80's was surely all mountains and no cemented roads .
Last time i have a American-Indonesian who bought a bike from me and road around the Philippines, he exited at Zamboanga to Sandakan, Indonesia. There is a Shipping Line company plying that route.

As for Palawan to Indonesia...... anything is possible my frieind. Flexibility will depend on the amount of $$$

Thanks for the info, YnotJP? + Hercules. Seems like there's a ferry service after all. Now all I need is some way of getting to HK or Taiwan or Japan by ferry as well...

When you get it to all come together, it will make an interesting report, along with accompanying photos of course. Always lots of photos.
