We participated in the group of 20 riders. The DPMC (Ducati Pilipinas Motorcycle Club). Majority of which was Ducati motorcycles, the way it should be. The line up was as follows:

4. Eric-Streetfighter
5. NRN-Streetfighter
6. Joelbrets-S4RS
7. Caloy-S4
8. Dino-S4R
9. JLVT-S2R800
10. Ted Alcazar-S2R800

20. Mar(stampedeblue)- Suzuki DR750 "Big"

Team DPMC took off at 12:45am, the 2nd group after a 15 minute lead by the BMW BOSS "Unstoppable1". We eventually caught up and overtook them at Cabanatuan area. However during the first Checkpoint at Flying V Baloc, one 696 electricals broke down. The rectifier went kaputz... arrrgh... what a great time to break down. It was only the 1st 130kms from Manila! 1,070kms to got to complete the run. You will see in the Video, that there was a ducati bike being opened up... That was the bike.

It was a good one hour of waiting till the bike was done. Most of the participants and other groups of 20 riders have gone by. Next stop was Tugegarao.... 374kms away..... We were the last group.

Our group arrived at Tugegarao checkpoint at 9:06am. And we amazingly caught up with all the group of 20 riders (BOSS, Bros, Amigos, etc) after 374kms from Baloc, Nueva Ecija.

The Flying V Checkpoint in Tugegarao, Cagayan was jampacked with so many riders.... In time sequential order of event arrivals.

7:58am at Tugegarao Flying V Checkpoint. Gas station is taking it easy and relax with a few riders coming in for gas and Ironman Card stamping...

The Ironman Checkpoint booth of Tugegarao. Handled by my friends there the "Tugegarao Tigers". On the foreground are their bikes....

8:33am. Riders start to pour in at the checkpoint...

8:36am. The BMW BOSS "Unstopable 1" group arrives...

8:38AM... The Team Bros arrives

8:46am...

You guys were quick.
I remeber Arriving at the VIGAN check point at 13:30
What time did you arrive at VIGAN? and what was your total time for the whole 1200 km''s?
Im interested too see, I want to calculate approx how much time I lost while being lost.

Dang, I just noticed my KTM buhind the Blue Kawazaki 600 in the 3rd Picture. this helps me a lot in finding out just how much time I lost, after riding around looking for the correct route.

Oh man yes we were quick and fast alright, after the checkpoint card stamping our group was the first one to take off leaving the Flying V gas station. Taking the lead in the group of 20 riders.

However the next events that happend turned the tables around. After the town of Alcala to the town of Gattaran. One of our riders target fixated and low sided on the second 90 degree turn beside the hills. Rider was safe, his protective gears did it's job.

Bike damage was a bent gear shifter and broken clutch lever at the base where it was connected to the clutch master part. Damn...

The picture below shows the turn where the rider lowsided (upper left side). The tall rider wearing the white/orange/black jacket is Teddy, his SR800 Monster low sided on that turn ....

About 50kms away the Tugegarao Checkpoint we doing good time till the unpredictable thing happened that turned the tables around. A ride buddy of mine on board his Ducati Monster S2R800 target fixated and low sided on a 90degree left hander. Rider was generally ok to ride again, his bike only suffered a bent gear shifter and a broken based clutch lever.

I had 14 riders in my train, while the 6 riders speed off without knowing the accident. Being one of the three assigned decision makers of the group of 20 (the 2 were with the 1st batch of 6 riders), I assesed the situation and informed the ground commander (DPMC President), and gave him 3 recommendations:

1. Call in the "DNF" bike & rider and load it up to the Ironman Challenge hauling truck (which was in striking distance). Then continue and finish as 19 riders.

2. Try to repair the bike with what the DPMC back up vehicle had.

3. The last resort ---> when all thing fails this will succeed

Ground commander called the DPMC back up, they had an extra clutch lever. Yahoo! We said after hearing the news and waited for the back up to arrive. There was still time, the rider can eat and rest before we continue on. We waited for the back up that was about 35-45mins away.

I even had time to say hi and chat with the locals. Her name isd Manilyn, a fourth year highschool student and that's her very "shy" Auntie on the background....

The bike all lined up...

My buddy, Eric's brand new Streetfighter with only 1,000kms on the clock

The boys on my train resting & eating while having fun...

Yep, those were a lot of Ducati bikes alright.
