I don't know if anyone here is aware of this thread in HU. Started from Davao, currently in Congo. Update is slow but worth checking now and then, at least for me.

There is a report in the Ride Report Thread titled "Movie, Philippines on a Honda Dirtbike."

It is well done and shows how nice riding in the Philippines can be.

Worth checking out if you are interested.

Wicked Cebu and Bantayan Islands

This is my 3rd trip to the Philippines and when i arrive and leave I always stay at MBs Inn on Mactan Island 10 mins from the airport . This is the pool outside my room 850p a night .

The bar is on other side of pool and is clubrooms for Outsider Motorcycle Club.

Michel the owner rides this Yamaha , he employs 3 mechanics and has a workshop . I seen the tank being made last visit. Micheal rode this bike in the 8 days ride around the 8 major islands of the Phills .They had to ride 3x 30hrs stretches and sleep on the ferrys between islands at the start of the ride .

The meals are good here if your getting riced out.

My girlfriend enjoyed the pool .

In the Jacuzzi with friends

Mactan Shrine where Ferdinand Magellin was killed is worth a look

Mactan Shrine

Me and Karen at the Shrine

On our way to Bantayan Is we had lunch and checked out the relatives fishing boat at Hagnaya

Uncles boat

My friend Joe recently bought Moby Dicks Bar and rebuilt it at Santa Fe . Its a good place to eat, drink , and play pool.

At Bantayan Is i stay at Kiwi Kottages and the back of The Hard Kock Kafe 550p a night

This is the view from my room

I had to buy 2 new tyres for the side car rig I bought for Karen papa last trip

More later and our engagement party

On April Fools Day Karen and I got engaged , the party budget was 30,000p but it went way over that. 2 pigs were spit roasted , 1 big piggy went in the pot and about 60kg of rice , heaps of beer ect was consumed

The cooks started at 3am killing and cleaning the pigs

Delicious

Head cook done a great job

Most of the expats living at Santa Fe came along

i think he was from Denmark

So many relatives here

More cousins

Little Shynie couldnt keep up with the pace and went to sleep sitting on her bum .

The Kids always love to get there pics taken here

Time for all the Santa Fe guests to go home

I know those two guys

I know two of the guys in the pictures. Toti DeGuzman (on the left wearing red T-shirt and Enrique on the right from the Mira Mesa area). I rode with Toti from San Diego through Canada and all the way to Alaska last July and we covered approximately 14,400 km in 23 riding days. He was on his Harley Davidson Road King, while I was on a Kawasaki Concours14 (GTR1400). Nice to see them on Adrider.

Now it is too late and I am soooo sad.

YOU WILL BE MISSED MY FRIEND!!!

My deepest condolences to the family of Sir Arnold "Wild Man" Aquino.

RIP Bro!

Congrats on the engagement. That looked like a real nice shindig.

The bike above is a Honda TMX 155, the work horse of the Philippines and also one of the first bikes I had here. Sadly I sold it. It was a great bike for running around town. When I get to old to ride my Dakar I will likely go back to riding on of these.
