At Lucban while they were enjoying thier breakfast, me, eric and Lee went to the market to get some food supplies. Daltitiwan Falls does not have any restaurant and we had to cook on our own,

Finally we arrived, some pix of the bike parked in Dalitiwan Falls

Firstly the bikes.

Thanks Herc, it is good to see the caraboa pictures. Looks like you are getting to do a lot of riding.

I am riding my DR 650 in the US. I had to hit a ditch rather than a cow on Wednesday, hurt my left ankle, and spent the night in the hills, and I had to walk out 17 miles on Thursday. A fellow with a Jeep is going to help my recover the bike today. I will continue my ride on the Great Divide Trail when the ankle gets a little better.

My hiking in the mountains of La Union made it possible for this 71 year old to walk out that 17 miles.

OMG! I am glad that you escape it with only an injured/twisted ankle, a night at the hills and the 17mile walk (27.2kms). If that happend here, I am just a text away and will rescue you, anywhere you are.

But we would still do spend the night in the hills.....Off course, I'd bring some ice-cold San Miguel pale pilsen beer (your favorite) together with charcoal with fish & meat for grilling while in the hills.

Please avoid anymore mishaps, you getting to old for it. And hope to see you again when you go here in the Philippines.

AZ4us, an ADVrider inmate, took me into where the bike was today. He was able to ride it out, I will spend a few days in Utah, letting the ankle heal some more, and then go over to ride the Great Divide Trail North to the border with Canada, then West to Seattle.

I will be forever thankful for the help I got from the inmates at ADVrider in recovering my bike.

Thanks AZ4us for helping out a fellow inmate and friend.

May your tribe increase!

Cheers.

JP,

Glad to hear that you are okay. A 17 mile hike! I'm not sure I could do that and I'm younger than you. Do you have a ride report anywhere? I'd love to see pics of your ride.

Doing the Hash in the Philippines, let me know that I could probably do the walk out. Where I was, it was pretty level. Up in La Union it was a long ways from level.

The ankle is still healing, but, is coming alone. I am in Seattle now, and will be heading back to the Philippines next month.

I would like to do a ride report however, I didn't take a lot of photos after the crash, and besides, I don't know how to post pictures. (I am 71, so it does no good to tell me how, I would forget before I finished.)

Returning

I need to get this back onto Page One.

I fly out of Seattle today at 2:15 PM PDT on Korean Air, got thru Seoul, and arrive in Manila at 11:00 PM on the 21st.

It was only after I had purchased my tickets that we found out that my Daughter would be leaving Manila two days before I arrive for the shooting of a TV show for GMA. She will not be returning until late October.

I am not allowed at this time to say what show she will be in.

If you get a chance you should tune into the next series of Survivor, Philippines on GMA Television.

I will be leaving my 2009 Suzuki DR 650 in Seattle, but, will be looking into
what it is going to cost me to bring it into the Philippines. I would really like to have it there.

I am looking forward to being back home soon.
