From what I have seen so far, I'm missing my tool box door/cover, a mirror and some screws for the air box. Looks like the original grips and chain. Needs new levers and some love.

stock tank?
i know a yamaha raptor 660 petcock fits my '79 xt500 tank.

Oi Muzza! You too. Big news! I rode it around the block! She's a deathtrap! Still a long way to go but she'll be fantastic when she's all sorted out. I need a different headset spacer, gotta drill and retap the rear brake arm, fluid in the front brake and I REALLY REALLY need to shorten the front forks, they're so raked out they don't even compress at this point. But, she ran, and moved forward and it was glorious.

The new carb gives it a totally different feel. In a totally good way.

it looks great i need to get mine going i just got a new petcock assy. so we will see. not im thinking carb oarts obviously but i havent put a finger on what my carb actually is.

project Roach is underway

Bought this good running bad looking 77 last week.

It should look like a 77 or 78 TT500 flat track bike soon.
(But finding a good tank has been a pain)
Anyone have a spare 77 or 78 TT tank?

Anyway its a good project.
Sold my 76 20 yrs ago, so here I am... again.

The day it came home on 9/9/12
