Ok, here we go, guess I'll jump in on this one.
You know I have mentioned this to you (as far as I can remember, which isn't very far) ... I get this at least 2-3 times a year whilst out with the boys or showing pictures thereof, "Oh, those are adorable/cute twin grandsons, are they identical?" It is always a man, women are too smart to commit that blunder and have 1000 times better intuition about things like that than male barbarians. And I am thinking, ... oh geeez, here we go again. Of course they are identical you F'n F. They are clueless types, raised wrong, and deserving of a karma ticket for being dangerously unaware. Social cripples in many cases. So, at that point I can usually squeeze in a snide comment about their mini-van, Toyota Highlander/Lexus Rx300 girl-car they are piloting. And, at the very least I can ask the question," ... is that a basketball under your shirt (you fat bastard) or are you the first man on the verge of giving birth since the discovery of Australiapithicus, Homo habilus and Homo erectus, Neanderthals, and the Geico man." Being an older parent has advantages and disadvantages. It does give us an amazing perspective that I never would have enjoyed having had kids earlier in life. Take heart, old boy, wisdom is an amazing power.
