He's doing great! The factory teams have to be taking notice.

Might explain why Jonah did so well -- much like the stage he podiumed in the Dakar.
Yup, as far as we are concerned, the more navigation the better... Go Jonah!

Yes, Trunkenpolz has (actually for years) been sniffing around. Amongst others. Now if we could just parlay this into some sponsorship!!!

All the area around Veszprem is a military shooting range/training area . You can actually see the maze of tracks on Google Earth.

Just spoke with Niles and Des.. Jonah had a blast this afternoon, even if his entire rear fender done busted off.. Niles is swamped, trying to get everything back together. Jonah is off at the hotel, about 10 miles away.

Des heard through Daniella (the KTM parts girl) that Cyril didn't enjoy this afternoon's stage, and Jonah loved it.. which is good, because they do it 3 more times before the race is over.

Everyone's in good spirits, Niles is in work mode.. Doesn't talk much, just barks orders!!! Go Niles, and Des, hurry up!

test

wanted to embed this video from "robbysuprising" of stage 3 so that folks don't have to go looking all over the internet for the rally porn...but I don't know how. Here's the web link.

No love for Robbie on stage 4.2 -- 6min down to Al Attiyah, and currently in 7th for the day.

But Baldwin's getting the hang of it.. Finished 2 minutes ahead of Robby in 5th position today. Obviously due to his ex-biker co-driver Kevin!!!

Hey Robb, she's a WOMAN!

For those not lucky enough to meet her you might enjoy the Blog page of Shawna Cox: http://11oneonefilms.wordpress.com/ She was producing and directing an independent documentary chronicling the North American Dakar teams. Glad to see she bounced back after the Rally was cancelled, it was as devastating for her as it was the competitors.

What's the latest with Charlie? Will he be able to re-join the boys in Europe?

Jim

Yeah, she spent a day with me in the Dakar truck last year at the Baja 500.. Also was with us in Lisbon for the ill-fated Dakar 2008. And she calls herself a girl..

Charlie is most likely not gonna meet back up with the boys.. They are gonna have to figure it all out on their own..

Richard Kaye checks in after the stages of Day 4, and has some interesting commentary on the state of the rally organization (or lack thereof). Apologies for the wind noise at the end -- that's live reporting for you!
