TPC and Tire Repair kits....are they compatible???
Hello All,
I have a GS Adv and it is equipped with TPC (Tire Pressure Control) sensors. Today I hit something in the road that punctured my rear tire and thanks to these sensors I was informed immediately of the pressure loss and was able to pull over. My question to you all is as follows, has anybody used a tire repair kit/slime in their tires with these sensors installed. I know you are not supposed to but I'm sure someone somewhere has done it in an emergency situation... I was just wondering what type of consequences this may bring...can i run with Slime???? I used to run with Slime in my tires on my enduro and it always saved my ass... Thank you all in advance for your responses... Cheers Alex |

plug kit...slime doesn't always work, and it may plug up the sensor enough to require replacement. What does the owner's manual say about using sealants?
