Problem with igniton lock out.

I tipped my bike over last week with it landing on its left side. It was at walking speed and past some minor cosmetic scuffs, the only problem I've encounterd is with the igniton lockout on the clutch. It won't start in gear when the clutch is pulled in. I checked the micro switch in the clutch handle and it seems to be working. What else should I check?

what bike?

if a 12, did you turn the key before or after pulling the clutch lever?

Other than that, you may have a damaged sidestand switch.

Make sure the lever is not touching the guard. If it is, it wont start in gear.

the ecu wants to see the clutch switch in both states - so pulling the clutch and then turning the ignition on will not start the bike - release and repull, or turn on, then pull the clutch.

The handguard holding the lever in a bit causes the same problem - the switch is always in one position...
