    Hey,

Anyone have recommendations on KTM service? Any good or bad reports from about the dealers? I am halfway between KTM santa monica and Del Amo

Yeah, I USED to live in SF and scuderia was my shop. Iwas hoping that there was a place down here that would work...

not yet owning a katoom myself and visiting the shop several times have heard good things about the wrenching capabilities of Eric's in Pasadena. Eric can be a bit of a cold fish at times, but service is supose to be top notch.

I second Eric's, the guy is a strange fellow but their work is good. Prices are average.

I'm new to all this KTM knowlage. bought a used LC4 and would like to spend a couple of hours learning what I need to do to the bike on a regular basis. I use it daily, 50 to 70 miles a day. If anyone would like to share their knowlage, I can share my beers.

For more info on your LC4 check out the thumpers forum. It is FULL of good stuff for your single!

I have singles and frequently visit there myself!!!

Check out the rules at the top of the forums and use the search feature in the upper right to make sure your question hasn't been asked a bunch of times(people here can get pretty wound up if you ask something that has been asked a bunch of times before....ask me how I know:shog )

    enjoy and Welcome!!!!!

p.s. the search engine blows don't expect to much!

hey spirit.... the best place to take your ktm would be to z racing.... here check out there link .......http://www.zracinginc.com/

their rates are reasonable.... fifty bucks an hour versus 70 -80 dallors elsewhere....

i have take my 640s and 950 there for service.... todd and mathew are cool dudes and they know there stuff!!!!!

del amo and stanta monica....hmm they are questionable?????????

then there is erics.... hmmmmmm??????????? i don't know what to say? but last time i was in there... i got yelled at.... all i did was ask about the rear brake recall... the issue to him was that i didn't purchase my bike there and he couldn't do it.... in fact he refused to do it

z is out of the way but it's worth it..... goood luck

    grinder96,
thanks for the info, I found out that the search tool is a little off! I was looking for some Orange/ LA county riders to go over the stuff that needs to be adjusted, tightened, lubed, whatever so that I get home without pushing the bike the last mile type things. I read a few of the how to threads and I could probably get by, but doing the work with someone that has done it several times before is allways better than sorting it out for yourself. I'm sure there is someone out there, I just need to find out how to get in touch with them.

another option, esp. for the thumper KTM's is ESP suspension in La Crescenta. they specialize in suspension work (as the name implies) but also do regular service, valve adjustments, etc. on most major dirtbike brands. great folks and prices.:deal

looks like Eric's motorcycles went out of business in Jan. 2013. does anybody know where the mechanic Bret ended up after Eric shut down? :ear

I suggest you stay away from T.O. for service unless you dont care about your ride
