Great pics (I'll have to check the videos later).... Thanks for sharing!

Death Valley is probably my favorite place that I have ever visited. Never done it on a bike ... much more to see that way. (I've not been to Racetrack or Teakettle Junction for example). I need to make another visit down there soon...

It is a not-to-be-missed ride.

I wish I could go more...

Here is one of the rock trails... very long... I suspect, it's very old.

Here's a close up of the playa floor. I was trying to capture the details in the dried mud and debris.

And the best part about going to Death Valley...

You can get all your Christmas cards photos taken care of! Set up the camera on timer, make sure the camera is focused, run like hell, get into a awkward position, slap a cheesy smile on your face, and BAM!

Thanks for tagging along...

Cheers
DR

Great stuff DR.
And how is it again that those rocks get to move on their own?

Hi DR and the Mrs!

You are a lucky guy! My wife will ride behind me any where! But she won't ride by herself. Is there enough to do a couple weeks out there solo on my KLR without riding the same roads over and over? What about camping? Services?

Thanks for the RR!

You could easily do a couple of weeks in DV. Camping is no problem; From full service, flush toilets and showers, to primitive- just park along the side of the road type - campsites. Even hotels should you need to shower and feel human again.

You might ride over some of the same roads but you can spend a day exploring trail after trail after trail. There are several loops through and around the park that lead to hundreds of miles of other trails and offshoots and photo ops and exploration opportunities... If you don't blast by all there is to see, which some do on account of time limits, you could spend a week and only see a quarter of the park properly... I think anyway.

Hope to see a ride report from you some day... or hell, ride some with you!

Cheers
DR

I think it has to do with the muddy Playa being slimy slick and the high winds that rip through the canyon... but that's just my theory...
