Thats not bad with the Scotts damper. I'd knock $500 off for the orange rims though.

My 05 525 EXC had 3300 miles on it when I sold it. It had the desert tank. It need new plastic. But everything else was good to go. I sold that for $3600.00. Which was low book.

I think that he is a tad high.

I just bought an 05 450EXC for $4500. Plated, Clarke Tank, rad guards, bark busters. No damper. I looked at a lot of ads (via RSS feeds for all of the Craigslists within 200 mile one way drive of me) and I didn't see anything better for the 3 months I was looking.

It depends a lot on your geographical area ..... I think AdvRiders generally bolt on more farkles .... the prices all tend to coallesce into a small range but it's the add-ons that turn it into a great deal IME.

Most of the time the farkles don't recover their value, they just make the bike more appealing/easier to sell for the general price range. But, yes, the supply & demand / time of year, etc definitely play a part. The bike pictured above had 500 miles on it, a GPR damper, all the guards, Factory Connection revalve & sprung front & back, street plate, etc. etc. and that was 2 years ago for the same model year he was looking at!

I'd say (for my location) you under priced it. Under priced it for 2008, way underpriced it for selling in 2006.

I wish I could have gotten more for it, but it still took a while to sell... Like you said, it may be a location thing.

my bud just sold a 525 05 mxc, less than 1000 miles w/scotts damp, and afew small farkles, $4,750.00, in all of two days. The bike looked as close to new as a used KTM could.

If your in the NE I see good deals all the time, someone on KTMTalk was selling a cherry 07 XCW cheap. West coast prices are much higher, especially here in OR where KTMs are one of the few bikes you can still get a plate for.
