What is that thing sticking up and clamped to your handlebar?
Is that not distracting riding offroad?

With no real aftermarket parts other than tail light / lic plate what is its value range?

Thanks-

I have one on my bike for the Trail Tech Vapor and like it. Gives good protection and raises the speedo up an inch or two. Fit very well. The fork bleeder valves are still easily accessible too.

This is the best photo I could find at the moment. I didn't see one for the stock gauge.

Thanks an ADV Ton to Ned and Hodaka and all the big brains that put the time in to build this thread.

Read the whole damn thing. I pretty much don't need a shop manual now!

Just picked up an '08, lots of the key mods done. Top and bottom proffesionally done 400m ago. Boxes and bags of parts, clockwork tank, tires and full plastics in three colors!

Ya know, we have some fun desert to ride here and Baja is right next door... but those pics from CO. are killing me! May have to start planning an August trip now.

Cam chain rattle 2011 530 exc (Carb model)

I am just being lazy by not searching through this thread and others for the best solution to my annoying cam chain rattle. Is the best solution to fit a dirt tricks tensioner? What do you guys think ? -- love this little bike

Up above, 'Search this thread', type 'dirt tricks', or 'site:advrider.com dirt tricks' in google. You really are lazy! I've installed two, and they are night and day difference.

I got a box in the mail today. Nice! I'm going to Utah in a week and a half for some lazy solo riding, so I thought I deserve a comfier seat.

Looks good! Let us know what you think of it. I went with the EE soft one...not so sure I made the right choice...I guess once the snow melts, I'll know

I've been to Moab twice now and loved it! Good luck on your rides!!

I had a Renazco on my 640, and I found wider/ flatter/ harder works better than the super soft torturous seat the 640 had originally. I didn't put any kind of seat on my 525 exc, but there were times I'd wished I had.

Going solo to Utah will have me riding easier stuff than I would with a friend. Sovereign, WRT, Whitewash for Mary's trail and Dead Cow, then maybe some riding in the Swell. Orange trail, Waterfall, Behind the Reef, stuff like that. This will be my 4th time, but third on a an exc. The first time I went with the 640. I'm looking forward to it, and since the wife is going to Korea for work, I took some time for myself.

Hey B-Rod my dad and I are leaving april 18th for moab so we will be there from 19th afternoon until the 24th or 25th if you'd be interested in hooking up for a ride or 2. Likely will hit 7 mile rim, poison spider mesa, top of the world/dome plateau, cameo cliffs and play around sand flats area of course all of that is open to change. Staying at the Ramada also. This will be our 6th time there i believe.
