Adventure Pants

Adventure pants are currently in design Phase.. Probably 3 month or more before we get a finished sample worked out that is ready for production.. Then we order all the fabric and materials needed for production about 3 more months.. Production probably another 1-3 months to get into the production schedule and complete. One month shipping time in Container then another 1-3 weeks to clear USA customs.. That puts us about 9 months to over a year until we have pants..

Okay Paul, nice jackets! I'm torn between the Barbour International and the Trailmaster. Decisions. Your site seems to indicate the Trailmaster is only available in limited sizes. I'm 5'7", 170 lbs, and take a 42-44 suit jacket. But, I'm in no rush.

Belstaff Tourist Trophy or Barour International

Hi Lyle,

The Trialmaster Jacket made by Belstaff in the UK was last produced in 2004. We had 700 jackets from this last year of production. As of today we have 2 jackets left one size Small and one size 4XL. The company in the UK is no longer around so don't hold your breath for more of these. The Barbour International Jacket has not changed since 1934 and is still in production, these are hard to come by but we will always have them in stock or on order. This new Tourist Trophy jacket By Belstaff is extremely well made by the new owners of the Belstaff Brand in Italy.. The workmanship and attention to detail are top shelf.. The problem is that we still do not have a date from Italy for supplying these garments even though we have been asking for quite some time.. If you don't mind waiting the sample we got is great, I wish it fit me and they were not asking for it back.. Anyway your choices are to either wait for the Tourist Trouphy at around $595 or grab a Barbour International at $379 either way you end up with a great looking classic..

Just out of curiosity on the Montana jacket..

The Motorcycle Classics review says "Available in both a “British” and an “American” cut, the American cut is roomier and a better fit for those with a thicker build."

Is it still available in both? I didn't see an option on the website, unless the British build is now labeled the ladies version.

Montana Fit..

Hi Hetman,

I am not sure where they got that.. The jacket was cut very tight back in the day because that is how Cafe Racers liked to wear it.. So you could not breath in it..The cut since the 1970's has been much more comfortable. It also only comes in Black although people say it looks brown in certain lights due to the Thickness and color hues in the leather.

Hope that helps..

It certainly looks like a very, very dark chocolate brown in Scottish sunlight......

It's actually a lovely piece of waxy leather and very comfortable to wear. I've only had mine a few days and already numerous ladies have commented on what a fine looking jacket it is......

Is the the new waxed jacket cotton on the outside or cordura or something else..it totally looks like leather in the pics (but I know it isn't)? And besides the armor is there any other safety features?

Also on the Montana if you is a tall sort a skinny dude will the jacket fit like a tent at the waist?

thanks!

Tourist Trophy comes in Waxed Cotton and Cordura..

The new Tourist Trophy Jacket comes in Traditional waxed cotton like in the picture with a full armour kit. Waxed cotton is pretty tough but not as good as Cordura so it also comes in Cordura. We will stock both. The one in the picture is a Brown Green color looks great I am going to see if I can keep it.. The Montana is cut very long in the sleeves and the waist is not that big and can be adjusted with the 4 straps on the side. I have one and I am 6'2" with a 34 waist. It fits me well in the shoulders and is plenty long in the sleeves in a size 44.

Exceptional Customer Care

Paul,

I just wanted to thank you sincerely for all the assistance you have given me with acquiring one jacket and then exchanging it for my new Discovery jacket. I cannot remember ever being treated better or more fairly, so "Thank you very much indeed!"

You have a permenent customer, and a happy one at that.
